The very rich parables of the virgins and the talents are grounded in the same context, in which Jesus uses them to speak about obedience, commitment, and loyalty. Jesus is speaking about His coming, the condition in which human beings will be, and the condition in which He expects to find His disciples on earth when He returns. I want to invite you to dive into what Jesus intended to say with the parable of the ten virgins and, subsequently, with the parable of the talents, understanding in depth their real application in our daily lives and in the church.
