Psalms 43

Psalm 43
Prayer for Rescue.
1Judge and vindicate me, O God; plead my case against an ungodly nation.
O rescue me from the deceitful and unjust man!
2For You are the God of my strength [my stronghold—in whom I take refuge]; why have You rejected me?
Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
3¶O send out Your light and Your truth, let them lead me;
Let them bring me to Your holy hill
And to Your dwelling places.
4Then I will go to the altar of God,
To God, my exceeding joy;
With the lyre I will praise You, O God, my God!
5¶Why are you in despair, O my soul?
And why are you restless and disturbed within me?
Hope in God and wait expectantly for Him, for I shall again praise Him,
The #43:5 Or saving acts of.help of my [sad] countenance and my God.

Psalms 43
43
1Defend me, God.
Argue my case against those people who don’t know you.
Protect me from those evil liars.
2God, you are my place of safety.
Why have you turned me away?
Why must I suffer this sadness
that my enemies have brought me?
3Send your light and your truth to guide me,
to lead me to your holy mountain, to your home.
4I want to go to God’s altar,
to the God who makes me so very happy.
God, my God, I want to play my harp
and sing praises to you!
5Why am I so sad?
Why am I so upset?
I tell myself, “Wait for God’s help!
You will again have a chance to praise him,
your God, the one who will save you.”
