Psalm 104
The Lord’s Care over All His Works.
1Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul!
O Lord my God, You are very great;
You are clothed with splendor and majesty,
2[You are the One] who covers Yourself with light as with a garment,
Who stretches out the heavens like a tent curtain,
3Who lays the beams of His upper chambers in the waters [above the firmament],
Who makes the clouds His chariot,
Who walks on the wings of the wind,
4Who makes winds His messengers,
Flames of fire His ministers. [Heb 1:7]
5¶He established the earth on its foundations,
So that it will not be moved forever and ever. [Job 38:4, 6]
6You covered it with the deep as with a garment;
The waters were standing above the mountains. [Gen 1:2; 2 Pet 3:5]
7At Your rebuke they fled;
At the sound of Your thunder they hurried away.
8The mountains rose, the valleys sank down
To the place which You established for them.
9You set a boundary [for the waters] that they may not cross over,
So that they will not return to cover the earth.
10¶You send springs into the valleys;
Their waters flow among the mountains.
11They give drink to every beast of the field;
The wild donkeys quench their thirst there.
12Beside them the birds of the heavens have their nests;
They lift up their voices and sing among the branches. [Matt 13:32]
13He waters the mountains from His upper chambers;
The earth is satisfied with the fruit of His works.
14¶He causes grass to grow for the cattle,
And all that the earth produces for cultivation by man,
So that he may bring food from the earth—
15And wine which makes the heart of man glad,
So that he may make his face glisten with oil,
And bread to sustain and strengthen man’s heart.
16The trees of the Lord drink their fill,
The cedars of Lebanon which He has planted,
17Where the birds make their nests;
As for the stork, the fir trees are her house.
18¶The high mountains are for the wild goats;
The rocks are a refuge for the #104:18 Small, shy, furry animals (Hyrax syriacus) found in the peninsula of the Sinai, northern Israel, and the region around the Dead Sea; KJV coney, orig NASB rock badgers.shephanim.
19He made the moon for the seasons;
The sun knows the [exact] place of its setting.
20You [O Lord] make darkness and it becomes night,
In which prowls about every wild beast of the forest.
21The young lions roar after their prey
And seek their food from God.
22When the sun arises, they withdraw
And lie down in their dens.
23Man goes out to his work
And remains at his labor until evening.
24¶O Lord, how many and varied are Your works!
In wisdom You have made them all;
The earth is full of Your riches and Your creatures.
25There is the sea, great and broad,
In which are swarms without number,
Creatures both small and great.
26There the ships [of the sea] sail,
And Leviathan [the sea monster], which You have formed to play there.
27¶They all wait for You
To give them their food in its appointed season.
28You give it to them, they gather it up;
You open Your hand, they are filled and satisfied with good [things].
29You hide Your face, they are dismayed;
You take away their breath, they die
And return to their dust.
30You send out Your Spirit, they are created;
You renew the face of the ground.
31¶May the glory of the Lord endure forever;
May the Lord rejoice and be glad in His works—
32He looks at the earth, and it trembles;
He touches the mountains, and they smoke.
33I will sing to the Lord as long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
34May my meditation be sweet and pleasing to Him;
As for me, I will rejoice and be glad in the Lord.
35Let sinners be consumed from the earth,
And let the wicked be no more.
Bless and affectionately praise the Lord, O my soul.
Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)

Psalm 104
104
The Lord's Care for His Creation
1Bless the Lord, O my soul.
O Lord my God, thou art very great;
thou art clothed with honor and majesty:
2who coverest thyself with light as with a garment:
who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:
3who layeth the beams of his chambers in the waters:
who maketh the clouds his chariot:
who walketh upon the wings of the wind:
4 #
Heb 1.7. who maketh his angels spirits;
his ministers a flaming fire:
5 who laid the foundations of the earth,
that it should not be removed for ever.
6Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment:
the waters stood above the mountains.
7At thy rebuke they fled;
at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.
8They go up by the mountains;
they go down by the valleys
unto the place which thou hast founded for them.
9Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over;
that they turn not again to cover the earth.
10He sendeth the springs into the valleys,
which run among the hills.
11They give drink to every beast of the field:
the wild asses quench their thirst.
12By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation,
which sing among the branches.
13He watereth the hills from his chambers:
the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works.
14He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle,
and herb for the service of man:
that he may bring forth food out of the earth;
15and wine that maketh glad the heart of man,
and oil to make his face to shine,
and bread which strengtheneth man's heart.
16The trees of the Lord are full of sap;
the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted;
17where the birds make their nests:
as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.
18The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats;
and the rocks for the conies.
19He appointed the moon for seasons:
the sun knoweth his going down.
20Thou makest darkness, and it is night:
wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth.
21The young lions roar after their prey,
and seek their meat from God.
22The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together,
and lay them down in their dens.
23Man goeth forth unto his work
and to his labor until the evening.
24O Lord, how manifold are thy works!
In wisdom hast thou made them all:
the earth is full of thy riches.
25 So is this great and wide sea,
wherein are things creeping innumerable,
both small and great beasts.

Job 41.1; Ps 74.14; Isa 27.1. There go the ships:
there is that leviathan,
whom thou hast made to play therein.
27These wait all upon thee;
that thou mayest give them their meat in due season.
28 That thou givest them they gather:
thou openest thine hand, they are filled with good.
29Thou hidest thy face, they are troubled:
thou takest away their breath, they die,
and return to their dust.
30Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created:
and thou renewest the face of the earth.
31The glory of the Lord shall endure for ever:
the Lord shall rejoice in his works.
32He looketh on the earth, and it trembleth:
he toucheth the hills, and they smoke.
33I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live:
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
34My meditation of him shall be sweet:
I will be glad in the Lord.
35Let the sinners be consumed out of the earth,
and let the wicked be no more.
Bless thou the Lord, O my soul.
Praise ye the Lord.
