Gia phả A-đam từ Sết đến Nô-ê

(I Sử Ký 1:1-4)

1Đây là gia phả của A-đam.#Sáng 1:27-28.

Khi Đức Chúa Trời sáng tạo loài người, Ngài tạo nên loài người giống như Đức Chúa Trời. 2Ngài sáng tạo người nam và người nữ, ban phước cho họ, và đặt tên là “người” khi Ngài sáng tạo họ.#Mat 19:4; Mác 10:6.

3A-đam được một trăm ba mươi tuổi thì sinh một con trai, hình dạng giống như mình và đặt tên là Sết. 4Sau khi sinh Sết, A-đam còn sống được tám trăm năm, sinh con trai con gái. 5Vậy A-đam sống được chín trăm ba mươi năm, rồi qua đời.

6Sết được một trăm lẻ năm tuổi thì sinh Ê-nót. 7Sau khi sinh Ê-nót, Sết còn sống được tám trăm lẻ bảy năm, sinh con trai con gái. 8Vậy Sết sống được chín trăm mười hai năm, rồi qua đời.

9Ê-nót được chín mươi tuổi thì sinh Kê-nan. 10Sau khi sinh Kê-nan, Ê-nót còn sống được tám trăm mười lăm năm, sinh con trai con gái. 11Vậy Ê-nót sống được chín trăm lẻ năm năm, rồi qua đời.

12Kê-nan được bảy mươi tuổi thì sinh Ma-ha-la-le. 13Sau khi sinh Ma-ha-la-le, Kê-nan còn sống được tám trăm bốn mươi năm, sinh con trai con gái. 14Vậy Kê-nan sống được chín trăm mười năm, rồi qua đời.

15Ma-ha-la-le được sáu mươi lăm tuổi thì sinh Giê-rệt. 16Sau khi sinh Giê-rệt, Ma-ha-la-le còn sống được tám trăm ba mươi năm, sinh con trai con gái. 17Vậy Ma-ha-la-le sống được tám trăm chín mươi lăm năm, rồi qua đời.

18Giê-rệt được một trăm sáu mươi hai tuổi thì sinh Hê-nóc. 19Sau khi sinh Hê-nóc, Giê-rệt còn sống được tám trăm năm, sinh con trai con gái. 20Vậy Giê-rệt sống được chín trăm sáu mươi hai năm, rồi qua đời.

21Hê-nóc được sáu mươi lăm tuổi thì sinh Mê-tu-sê-la. 22Sau khi sinh Mê-tu-sê-la, Hê-nóc đồng hành với Đức Chúa Trời trong ba trăm năm, sinh con trai con gái. 23Vậy Hê-nóc sống ba trăm sáu mươi lăm năm. 24Hê-nóc cùng đi với Đức Chúa Trời, rồi biến mất, vì Đức Chúa Trời đón ông đi.#Hê 11:5; Giu 14.

25Mê-tu-sê-la được một trăm tám mươi bảy tuổi thì sinh Lê-méc. 26Sau khi sinh Lê-méc, Mê-tu-sê-la còn sống được bảy trăm tám mươi hai năm, sinh con trai con gái. 27Vậy Mê-tu-sê-la sống được chín trăm sáu mươi chín năm, rồi qua đời.

28Lê-méc được một trăm tám mươi hai tuổi thì sinh một trai, 29đặt tên là Nô-ê,#5:29 Nô-ê: Trong tiếng Hê-bơ-rơ, từ nầy có cách phát âm giống từ có nghĩa là “sự khuây khỏa”, “niềm an ủi”. và nói: “Trong công việc của chúng ta, trong nỗi lao khổ nhọc nhằn của tay chúng ta, đứa con nầy sẽ đem lại cho chúng ta niềm an ủi xuất phát từ đất mà Đức Giê-hô-va đã nguyền rủa.” 30Sau khi sinh Nô-ê, Lê-méc còn sống được năm trăm chín mươi lăm năm, sinh con trai con gái. 31Vậy Lê-méc sống được bảy trăm bảy mươi bảy năm, rồi qua đời.

32Khi Nô-ê được năm trăm tuổi thì sinh Sem, Cham và Gia-phết.

From Adam to Noah

1This is the written account of Adam’s family line.

When God created mankind, he made them in the likeness of God. 2He created them male and female and blessed them. And he named them “Mankind”#5:2 Hebrew adam when they were created.

3When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, in his own image; and he named him Seth. 4After Seth was born, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 5Altogether, Adam lived a total of 930 years, and then he died.

6When Seth had lived 105 years, he became the father#5:6 Father may mean ancestor; also in verses 7-26. of Enosh. 7After he became the father of Enosh, Seth lived 807 years and had other sons and daughters. 8Altogether, Seth lived a total of 912 years, and then he died.

9When Enosh had lived 90 years, he became the father of Kenan. 10After he became the father of Kenan, Enosh lived 815 years and had other sons and daughters. 11Altogether, Enosh lived a total of 905 years, and then he died.

12When Kenan had lived 70 years, he became the father of Mahalalel. 13After he became the father of Mahalalel, Kenan lived 840 years and had other sons and daughters. 14Altogether, Kenan lived a total of 910 years, and then he died.

15When Mahalalel had lived 65 years, he became the father of Jared. 16After he became the father of Jared, Mahalalel lived 830 years and had other sons and daughters. 17Altogether, Mahalalel lived a total of 895 years, and then he died.

18When Jared had lived 162 years, he became the father of Enoch. 19After he became the father of Enoch, Jared lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters. 20Altogether, Jared lived a total of 962 years, and then he died.

21When Enoch had lived 65 years, he became the father of Methuselah. 22After he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked faithfully with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters. 23Altogether, Enoch lived a total of 365 years. 24Enoch walked faithfully with God; then he was no more, because God took him away.

25When Methuselah had lived 187 years, he became the father of Lamech. 26After he became the father of Lamech, Methuselah lived 782 years and had other sons and daughters. 27Altogether, Methuselah lived a total of 969 years, and then he died.

28When Lamech had lived 182 years, he had a son. 29He named him Noah#5:29 Noah sounds like the Hebrew for comfort. and said, “He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the Lord has cursed.” 30After Noah was born, Lamech lived 595 years and had other sons and daughters. 31Altogether, Lamech lived a total of 777 years, and then he died.

32After Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham and Japheth.
