Our minds and schedules are so preoccupied that we’ve forgotten how to rest. And when we fail to rest we do more than burn ourselves out—we misunderstand the God who calls us to rest and created us to be people of rest. So when we learn the art of sabbath keeping, we learn to rest and we learn about the One who gives us rest.

“Our hearts are restless till they find their rest in Thee.” Never before have so many of us felt the restlessness Augustine described with this famous sentence. But what is the solution to our lack of true rest? As this three day plan will show, the solution partially lies in viewing the ancient practice of Sabbath through a different lens—through the lens of “Thee”—Jesus—our ultimate source of peace.

We live in a fast-paced world that tempts us to never stop. There is always more to do and more to hustle. Yet since Creation, God has instituted a regular day of rest called the Sabbath.
