Exodus 31
31
Bezalel and Oholiab
1Then the Lord said to Moses, 2“See, I have chosen Bezalel son of Uri from the tribe of Judah. Uri was the son of Hur. 3I have filled Bezalel with the Spirit of God. I have given him the skill, ability and knowledge to do all kinds of work. 4He is able to design pieces to be made from gold, silver and bronze. 5He is able to cut jewels and put them in metal. And he can carve wood. Bezalel can do all kinds of work. 6I have also chosen Oholiab son of Ahisamach from the tribe of Dan. Oholiab will work with Bezalel. I have given skills to all skilled craftsmen. They will be able to make all these things I have commanded you: 7the Meeting Tent, the Ark of the Covenant, the lid that covers the Ark of the Covenant and everything in the Tent. 8This includes the table and everything on it, the pure gold lampstand and everything with it and the altar of incense. 9It also includes the altar for burnt offerings and everything used with it, the bowl and the stand under it. 10They will make the woven clothes and the holy clothes for Aaron and the clothes for his sons to wear when they serve as priests. 11They will also make the special olive oil used in appointing people and things to the service of the Lord, and the sweet-smelling incense for the Holy Place.
“These workers will make all these things just as I have commanded you.”
The Day of Rest
12Then the Lord said to Moses, 13“Tell the Israelites, ‘You must keep the rules about my Sabbaths. This is because they will be a sign between you and me from now on. In this way you will know that I, the Lord, am making you holy.
14“‘Make the Sabbath a holy day. If anyone treats the Sabbath like any other day, that person must be put to death. Anyone who works on the Sabbath day must be separated from his people. 15There are six days for working. But the seventh day is a day of rest. It is a day holy for the Lord. Anyone who works during the Sabbath day must be put to death. 16The Israelites must remember the Sabbath day. It is an agreement between them and me that will continue from now on. 17The Sabbath day will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever. This is because in six days I, the Lord, made the sky and the earth. And on the seventh day I did not work. I rested.’”
18So the Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai. Then the Lord gave him the two stone tablets with the agreement written on them. The finger of God wrote the commands on the stones.

Exodus 31
31
1And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2Behold, I have called by name Beseleel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Juda,
3And I have filled him with the spirit of God, with wisdom and understanding, and knowledge in all manner of work.
4To devise whatsoever may be artificially made of gold, and silver, and brass,
5Of marble, and precious stones, and variety of wood.
6And I have given him for his companion, Ooliab the son of Achisamech, of the tribe of Dan. And I have put wisdom in the heart of every skilful man, that they may make all things which I have commanded thee:
7The tabernacle of the covenant, and the ark of the testimony, and the propitiatory that is over it, and all the vessels of the tabernacle:
8And the table and the vessels thereof, the most pure candlestick with the vessels thereof, and the altars of incense:
9And of holocaust, and all their vessels, the laver with its foot:
10The holy vestments in the ministry, for Aaron the priest, and for his sons, that they may execute their office about the sacred things:
11The oil of unction, and the incense of spices in the sanctuary. All things which I have commanded thee, shall they make.
12And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
13Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: See that thou keep my sabbath; because it is a sign between me and you in your generations; that you may know that I am the Lord, who sanctify you.
14Keep you my sabbath: for it is holy unto you. He that shall profane it shall be put to death: he that shall do my work in it, his soul shall perish out of the midst of his people.
15Six days shall you do work: in the seventh day is the sabbath, the rest holy to the Lord. Every one that shall do any work on this day shall die.
16Let the children of Israel keep the sabbath, and celebrate it in their generations. It is an everlasting covenant
17Between me and the children of Israel, and a perpetual sign. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth: and in the seventh he ceased from work.
18And the Lord, when he had ended these words in mount Sinai, gave to Moses two stone tables of testimony, written with the finger of God.
