Zecharyah 9
9
1The burden of the Devar Hashem against Eretz Chadrakh, and Damascus its menuchah (resting place); for toward Hashem shall be the eyes of man as of Kol Shivtei Yisroel (all the tribes of Israel).
2And Chamat at its border; Tzor and Tzidon, though it be very wise.
3And Tzor did build herself a matzor (stronghold), and heaped up kesef like the dust, and fine gold like the mire of the streets.
4Hinei, Adonoi will cause it to be taken, and He will strike her power on the yam; and she shall be devoured with eish.
5Ashkelon shall see it, and fear; Azah (Gaza) also shall see it, and tremble greatly, and Ekron; for her hope shall be put to shame; and Melech shall perish out of Azah (Gaza), and Ashkelon shall not be inhabited.
6And mamzer shall dwell in Ashdod, and I will cut off the ga'on (pride) of the Pelishtim (Philistines).
7And I will take away his dahm out of his mouth, and his abominations from between his teeth; but he will also remain to Eloheinu, and he shall be as a tribe prince in Yehudah, and Ekron like the Yevusi (Jebusite).
8And I will encamp about Mine Bais against military power, because of him that goes maurading to and fro; and no oppressor shall pass through them any more; for now I am keeping watch with Mine eyes.
9Rejoice greatly, O Bat Tziyon; shout, O Bat Yerushalayim; hinei, thy Melech cometh unto thee, tzaddik, and having Salvation; ani (lowly, meek), and riding upon a chamor, even upon a colt the foal of a donkey.#9:9 Mt 21:5; Jn 12:15
10And I will cut off the chariot from Ephrayim, and the war horse from Yerushalayim, and the battle bow shall be cut off. He shall proclaim shalom unto the Goyim; and His#9:10 Moshiachʼs dominion shall be from yam even to yam, and from the#9:10 Euphrates River even to the ends of ha'aretz.
11As for thee also, by the dahm of thy Brit I release thy prisoners out of the pit wherein is no mayim.#9:11 T.N. Notice the blood of the Covenant is essential to Israelʼs Orthodox faith
12Return to the stronghold, ye prisoners of tikvah (hope); even today do I proclaim that I will repay double unto thee;
13I will bend Yehudah as I bend My keshet (bow), fill it with Ephrayim, and I will rouse thy banim, O Tziyon, against thy banim, O Yavan (Greece), and make thee like the cherev (sword) of a gibbor (mighty man).
14And Hashem shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning; and Adonoi Hashem shall sound the shofar, and shall march forth with storms of the south.
15 Hashem Tzva'os shall shield them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and shall roar as through yayin; and they shall be full like a bowl, like the corners of the mizbe'ach.
16And Hashem Eloheihem shall save them in Yom HaHu as the tzon of His people; for they shall be as the jewels of a crown, sparkling in His land.
17For how great is its goodness, and how great is its beauty! Grain shall make the bochurim thrive, and tirosh, the betulot.

Zechariah 9
9
1The burden of a word of Jehovah against the land of Hadrach, and Demmeseh — his place of rest: (When to Jehovah [is] the eye of man, And of all the tribes of Israel.)
2And also Hamath doth border thereon, Tyre and Zidon, for — very wise!
3And Tyre doth build a bulwark to herself, And doth heap silver as dust, And gold as mire of out-places.
4Lo, the Lord doth dispossess her, And He hath smitten in the sea her force, And she with fire is consumed.
5See doth Ashkelon and fear, Also Gaza, and she is exceedingly pained, Also Ekron — for her expectation dried up, And perished hath a king from Gaza, And Ashkelon doth not remain,
6And dwelt hath a foreigner in Ashdod, And I have cut off the excellency of the Philistines.
7And turned aside his blood from his mouth, His abominations from between his teeth, And he hath remained, even he, to our God, And he hath been as a leader in Judah, And Ekron as a Jebusite.
8And I have pitched for My house a camp, Because of the passer through, and of the returner, And pass not through against them again doth an exactor, For, now, I have seen with My eyes.
9Rejoice exceedingly, O daughter of Zion, Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem, Lo, thy King doth come to thee, Righteous — and saved is He, Afflicted — and riding on an ass, And on a colt — a son of she-asses.
10And I have cut off the chariot from Ephraim, And the horse from Jerusalem, Yea, cut off hath been the bow of battle, And he hath spoken peace to nations, And his rule [is] from sea unto sea, And from the river unto the ends of earth.
11Also thou — by the blood of thy covenant, I have sent thy prisoners out of the pit, There is no water in it.
12Turn back to a fenced place, Ye prisoners of the hope, Even to-day a second announcer I restore to thee.
13For I have trodden for Me Judah, A bow I have filled [with] Ephraim, And I have stirred up thy sons, O Zion, Against thy sons, O Javan, And I have set thee as the sword of a hero.
14And Jehovah doth appear for them, And gone forth as lightning hath His arrow, And the Lord Jehovah with a trumpet bloweth, And He hath gone with whirlwinds of the south.
15 Jehovah of Hosts doth cover them over, And they consumed, and subdued slingstones, Yea, they have drunk, They have made a noise as wine, And they have been full as a bowl, As corners of an altar.
16And saved them hath Jehovah their God In that day, as a flock of His people, For stones of a crown are displaying themselves over His ground.
17For what His goodness! and what His beauty! Corn the young men, And new wine the virgins — make fruitful!
