Tehillim 58
58
(For the one directing. Set to Do Not Destroy. Mikhtam Dovid)
1 Do ye indeed decree tzedek, O elim (g-ds)?#58:1 Ex 22:28 [27] Do ye judge uprightly the Bnei Adam?
2 No, in lev (heart) ye work wickedness; ye weigh out the chamas (violence) of your hands in Ha'Aretz.
3 The resha'im are perverted from the rekhem (womb); gone astray from birth are they, speaking kazav (lie, falsehood).
4 Their venom is like the venom of a nachash; they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth its ear;
5 That it may not pay heed to the voice of charmers, casting spells ever so cunningly.
6 Break their teeth, O Elohim, in their mouth; tear out the fangs of the young lions, Hashem.
7 Let them melt away like draining mayim; when he bendeth his bow to shoot his khitzim (arrows), let them be crumbled to pieces.
8 As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away; like the stillborn child of an isha, that they may not see the shemesh.
9 Before your sirot (pots) can feel the burning thorns, may He with a whirlwind blow them away, both green and dry alike.
10 The tzaddik shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance; he shall wash feet in the dahm harasha.
11 So that adam shall say, Verily there is a reward for the tzaddik; verily yesh Elohim Shofetim ba'aretz (there is a G-d that judgeth in the earth).

Psalms 58

Psalm 58
For the choir director; al tashcheth; a miktam by David.
1Do you rulers really give fair verdicts?
Do you judge Adam’s descendants fairly?
2No, you invent new crimes on earth,
and your hands spread violence.
3 ⌞Even⌟ inside the womb wicked people are strangers ⌞to God⌟.
From their birth liars go astray.
4They have poisonous venom like snakes.
They are like a deaf cobra that shuts its ears
5so that it cannot hear the voice of a snake charmer
or of anyone trained to cast spells.
6O God, knock the teeth out of their mouths.
Break the young lions’ teeth, O Lord.
7Let them disappear like water that drains away.
When they aim their bows, let their arrows miss the target.
8Let them become like a snail that leaves behind a slimy trail
or like a stillborn child who never sees the sun.
9Let ⌞God⌟ sweep them away
faster than a cooking pot is heated by burning twigs.
10Righteous people will rejoice when they see ⌞God⌟ take revenge.
They will wash their feet in the blood of wicked people.
11Then people will say,
“Righteous people certainly have a reward.
There is a God who judges on earth.”
