1 Thessalonians 4
4
1Lemaskana (finally), Achim b'Moshiach, we ask and exhort you in Adoneinu Yehoshua, in order that, just as from us [Moshiachʼs Shlichim] you received [as authoritative halachic tradition, as the Messianic teaching to be followed] how it is necessary for you to be fier zich (comport oneself) in your derech (way of life) and to please Hashem (just as you in fact are doing), so you should abound more and more.
2For you have da'as what mitzvot (commandments) we gave you through [Moshiach] Adoneinu Yehoshua.
3For this is the ratzon Hashem (the will of G-d), your kedushah (holiness), your consecration, that you abstain from zenut (fornication),
4That each one of you#4:4 as Kedoshim have da'as of how to control your own k'li (vessel) in kedushah and kavod,
5Not in the passion of ta'avah (evil desire, lust) like Goyim who do not have da'as of Hashem;
6That no man commit peysha and take advantage of one of his Achim b'Moshiach in this [sexual] matter, because Hashem is the Nokem (Avenger) concerning all these things, just as also we told you before and warned you.
7For [as far as our bechirah (election) is concerned], Hashem did not summon us for tu'ma (uncleanness) but in kedushah (holiness).
8Therefore, the one rejecting this mitzvah (commandment) does not reject Bnei Adam but Hashem who gives to you His Ruach Hakodesh.
9Concerning the matter of ahavah shel achvah (brotherly love), you have no need that we write you, for you yourselves are limudei Elohim (taught of G-d) to have ahavah (agape) one for another.
10For indeed this you do toward all the Achim b'Moshiach in all of Macedonia. But in this we exhort you, Chaverim, to abound more and more.
11And have as your ambition to lead a quiet life of shalom bayis, and to mind your own business, and to have a parnasah, working with your own hands, according to the mitzvot (commandments) we gave you.
12The tachlis (purpose) is that the way you fier zich (comport oneself) in your derech (way of life) be conducted properly toward outsiders and that you might not be nitzrach (needy).
13We do not want you to lack da'as, Chaverim, concerning those who have “fallen asleep.” The purpose is that you not have agmat nefesh (grief) like the rest, who do not have tikvah (hope).
14For, if we have an Ani Ma'amin belief that Yehoshua had his histalkus and then stood up alive again in the Techiyas HaMoshiach from HaMesim, even so, Hashem will bring with him#4:14 Moshiach those who have fallen asleep through Yehoshua.
15For this we say to you by the Dvar Hashem, that we who are alive and have been left behind until the Bi'as (Coming, Parousia of) Moshiach Adoneinu, may in no way be kodem (preceding) those who have fallen asleep.
16For Adoneinu Himself, at the signal, at the bat kol of the Sar HaMalachim (the Archangel), and at the shofar blast of Hashem, shall come down from Shomayim, and the Mesim in Moshiach shall stand up alive in the Techiyas HaMesim first.
17Then,#4:17 next in sequence we who are alive and who have been left behind simultaneously with them shall be snatched up in the ananim (clouds) to meet Adoneinu in the air. And so always with Adoneinu we shall be.
18Therefore, give chozek (strength) and speak divrei chizzuk (words of encouragement), comforting one another with these words.

Tas`loniqim Aleph (1 Thessalonians) 4
4
1For the rest then, brothers, we beg you and call upon you in the Master יהושע, that as you received from us how you should walk and to please Elohim, you should excel still more,
2for you know what commands we gave you through the Master יהושע.
3For this is the desire of Elohim: your set-apartness! – that you should abstain from whoring,
4that each one of you should know how to possess his own vessel in set-apartness and respect,
5not in passion of lust, like the nations who do not know Elohim,
6not to overstep and take advantage of his brother in this matter, because the Master is the revenger of all such, as we indeed said to you before and earnestly warned.
7For Elohim did not call us to uncleanness, but in set-apartness.
8Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but Elohim, who also gives us His Set-apart Spirit.
9And it is not necessary to write to you about brotherly love, for you yourselves are taught by Elohim to love one another,
10for, in fact, you do so toward all the brothers who are in all Makedonia. But we call upon you, brothers, that you do so more and more,
11and to make it your ambition to live peaceably, and to attend to your own, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you,
12so that you behave decently toward those who are outside, and not be in any need.
13Now, brothers, we do not wish you to be ignorant concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you be sad as others who have no expectation.
14For if we believe that יהושע died and rose again, so also Elohim shall bring with Him those who sleep#A euphemism for death. in יהושע.
15For this we say to you by the word of the Master, that we, the living who are left over at the coming of the Master shall in no way go before those who are asleep.
16Because the Master Himself shall come down from heaven with a shout, with the voice of a chief messenger, and with the trumpet of Elohim, and the dead in Messiah shall rise first.
17Then we, the living who are left over, shall be caught away together with them in the clouds to meet the Master in the air – and so we shall always be with the Master.
18So, then, encourage one another with these words.
