Salmos 111:4

Worship is central to the Christian life. Here is a reflection on what it means to hold fast to faith in the midst of life’s trials...a message that inspires Christians to connect the dots between singing the song and living the life. Based on Matt Redman's new book 10,000 Reasons.

Emmanuel – God with us! The promise of a child born to save the world rings out to our spirits today with comfort and reassurance that we are not alone. God is with us! If you’re feeling lonely or dealing with depression at Christmas, this 5-day devotional by Laura Woodworth will help you explore Jesus as Emmanuel: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

Do worry and fear overwhelm your days or seem to control your life? Learn what Jesus says about worry in the Sermon on the Mount and elsewhere. Part seven of eight in the "Jesus, I Want to Love You" Series. The plans in this series can be done in any order. See also "Jesus, I Want to Love You" (companion prayer).

Discipleship works against fear. As we obey God’s commands, we entrust ourselves to him. Like the students attending the schools founded by D. L. Moody in Northfield, MA, God’s people “are encouraged to test the meaning and value of the Bible’s teachings experimentally, by acting upon them, and living them out.” As we “test experimentally” the word of God, we will find that we will have fewer and fewer reasons to be afraid.
