Provérbios 22:16

The Bible has a lot to say about teaching children. Being in the world and not of it can be easier said than done, especially when it comes to raising children. This 5-day plan will help readers gain a biblical understanding and perspective on teaching children, apply it to their lives, and prepare them to share this learning with others.

Begin your journey through Proverbs with clarity. On the first day, you will read a guided introduction alongside the opening chapters of Proverbs. It explains how Proverbs uses wise sayings to teach wisdom, discipline, understanding, and the fear of the Lord. You will see practical instruction for daily life throughout the book. As you read, remember that Proverbs is still being translated today so communities around the world can encounter God’s Word in the language they understand best. This plan offers a clear starting point as you read Proverbs.

In this reading plan, we will explore Scripture to learn biblical lessons about wealth and poverty. Who owns possessions? What attitude should Christians adopt? How can we persevere when poverty tests our faith? Can rich people go to heaven or not? In this reading plan, we will discover the answers from the Bible.

Proverbs is one of the most practical books in the Bible. It’s not a list of promises to lean on, but principles to live by—wisdom for our words, our work, our relationships, and our choices. Over the next 30 days, we’ll walk through Proverbs one chapter at a time, uncovering what it looks like to live wisely in the everyday.
