Provérbios 15:27

In this 5-day plan, based on the Solomon Says devotional by Amy Parker and Sarah Humphrey, learn wisdom from the world’s wisest king. Each day examines a piece of wisdom from Proverbs with a modern perspective and application with the aim of helping tweens find their voice and grow in biblical wisdom.

The Bible has a lot to say about honesty. Most of us know we shouldn’t lie or steal, but His instruction goes much deeper. This 5-day plan will help readers gain a biblical understanding and perspective on Christ-like honesty, apply it to their lives, and prepare them to share this learning with others.

Discipleship works against fear. As we obey God’s commands, we entrust ourselves to him. Like the students attending the schools founded by D. L. Moody in Northfield, MA, God’s people “are encouraged to test the meaning and value of the Bible’s teachings experimentally, by acting upon them, and living them out.” As we “test experimentally” the word of God, we will find that we will have fewer and fewer reasons to be afraid. You can get an expanded version of this plan at moodycenter.org/fear.

These daily readings reveal how God is the ultimate Comforter in the face of trials and hardship. This devotional is based on Through the Eyes of Hope by Lacey Buchanan.
