Provérbios 15:24

In a world that needs the light of truth, Christians must diligently show up and shine. This devotional illustrates lessons learned in the dark, including the importance of knowing God’s Word, seeking the lost, and overcoming spiritual attacks. Walking through this world can wear us out, but finding purpose in pain redeems our tears and lets us see God’s hand at work.

Heaven is not just a comforting idea—it is a real and eternal home prepared by God for His children. This reading plan will help you reflect on the temporary nature of life on earth and the eternal reward awaiting believers in Christ. Through messages and Scripture, you will be reminded to invest your time, energy, and what truly matters. Earthly possessions fade, but what we do for God lasts forever. As you journey through these four days, you will be encouraged to live with eternity in mind and to find hope, joy, and purpose in the promise of Heaven.

In this 5-day plan, based on the Solomon Says devotional by Amy Parker and Sarah Humphrey, learn wisdom from the world’s wisest king. Each day examines a piece of wisdom from Proverbs with a modern perspective and application with the aim of helping tweens find their voice and grow in biblical wisdom.

Discipleship works against fear. As we obey God’s commands, we entrust ourselves to him. Like the students attending the schools founded by D. L. Moody in Northfield, MA, God’s people “are encouraged to test the meaning and value of the Bible’s teachings experimentally, by acting upon them, and living them out.” As we “test experimentally” the word of God, we will find that we will have fewer and fewer reasons to be afraid.
