Números 16:9

Rebellion is a spirit whose purpose is to cause the believer to use their pride as a catalyst to hurt and mislead others. Pride births rebellion and rebellion miscarries purpose. This three day plan will help you identify the spirit of rebellion and how to use the power Christ has given you to have victory over rebellion.

Explore the rich legacy of the sons of Korah in this three-part devotional series based on their psalms. Discover their transformation from rebels to temple leaders, understand God’s sovereign rule from Zion, and learn how this impacts us personally as God is our Refuge and righteous Ruler. Each part invites you to reflect on God’s presence, power, and loving governance.

For millennia, God’s people have been carrying out a weekly Bible study plan. Every year, they read through the Torah from Genesis to Deuteronomy. In synagogue each week, they read and study a Bible passage—the weekly parshah. This parshah is called “Korach,” which is Hebrew for the Bible character named Korah, and covers Numbers 16:1-18:32.

Korah was envious of Moses’ and Aaron’s leadership positions. This envy was combined with selfish ambition resulting in strife and rebellion, ultimately leading to his downfall and death. Some people aspire to positions of authority to lord it over others, not so they can serve others. An important lesson to learn from Korah is not to let your desire for someone else make you discontented with what you already have.
