Levítico 26:44

For millennia, God’s people have been carrying out a weekly Bible study plan. Every year, they read through the Torah from Genesis to Deuteronomy. In synagogue each week, they read and study a Bible passage—the weekly parshah. This plan presents a double reading, Behar-Bechukotai, from Leviticus 25:1–27:34. Behar means “On the Mount,” and Bechukotai means “By My Decrees.”

We all experience great loss- a relationship, a job, a loved one, or simply life as it once was. We’re sure that life is not supposed to be this way and so we grieve and mourn for what could have been. And we’re not alone. Join us for the fourth week of a 5-part plan that will help us learn the language and heart of lament in Scripture.

Mesu Andrews, award winning and best-selling author, joins Bible teacher, Shawna Duvall, to explore the years of Daniel’s exile and discover new insights about Who Yahweh is and the crimson thread that connects Daniel to the Cross of Jesus Christ. Cultivate deeper intimacy through a humbled heart while exploring His sufficiency, faithfulness, mercy, sovereignty, truth, and His constant presence.

Leviticus is the book most readers intend to read and the fewest finish. Where Exodus brings liberation, Leviticus stops the narrative and replaces it with instruction — sacrifice, purity codes, a holiness code covering everything from worship to wages. What looks like a detour is the Torah’s heart: the God who freed Israel now lives in the camp. How does a people that is not holy live in the presence of a God who is? Over seven days, this plan traces Leviticus’s answer — and finds it is less about burden than about grace.
