Gênesis 48:8

Your suffering becomes the crucible where hope is forged when you seek Christ in it. At age 26, Katherine experienced a brain-stem stroke that left her partially paralyzed. After years of rehab, she and her husband, Jay, formed Hope Heals, a ministry to help those with broken brains and broken hearts. Look with them at the story of Joseph to see how God ordains the suffering of one to bless many, and how you, too, can bless others not after you suffer but as you suffer.

This 8-day Bible teaching plan explores the final chapters of Genesis, tracing Joseph’s story and the surprising ways God works through sin, suffering, and failure. Each day demonstrates how God remains faithful when people falter, how grace supersedes guilt, and how the story of Genesis ultimately points us to Jesus. This plan invites you to see your own story through the lens of God’s redemption, forgiveness, and unshakable promises.

In this 11-day plan, you will study Genesis 37-50 which will take you through the life of Jacob and his 12 sons who later became the 12 tribes of Israel. These chapters highlight the life of one of those sons, Joseph, and his journey of hardship and forgiveness. We hope you’ll learn the importance of trusting God through difficult times and learning to forgive those who hurt or disappoint you.

When we think about Joseph, one of the first things that comes to mind is DREAMER. We look at the life of Joseph and the process that he went through both spiritually and physically to get from the pit to the palace. In Joseph’s life we see the importance of God’s Timing as well as His Hand over one’s life – despite what things look like on the outside.
