Gênesis 29:3

Two sisters united in heart but torn apart by circumstance—the story of Leah and Rachel is tragic, yet full of hope. In this 5-day devotional based on episode 3 of FOX Entertainment's "The Faithful," we'll explore how these sisters' competing desires led them through heartbreak and into the joy of promises fulfilled. Their sisterhood was far from perfect, but what sisterhood is? Leah and Rachel teach us what it means to love, what it looks like to hope, and how to step into the life God has for us—even when it looks nothing like we planned.

This six-day devotional walks through Genesis 25-35 and follows Jacob as God pursues, protects, and transforms him. These chapters show that God partners with broken people, blesses those who do not deserve it, and keeps His promises even when we fail. Through Jacob’s story, you will see that God’s grace is never earned, always patient, and still at work in your life today.

In the midst of hurts, challenges of subservient status, insecurities, and longing for love and acceptance, the Women of the Bible reveal the current quandaries of today’s women. Separated by ages past, their emotions were real and their ordeals just as relevant now. As in the author’s life, let the Women of the Bible bring you to a place of healing, encouragement, self-examination, and affirmation of God’s love for you.

What kind of people does God use to accomplish His extraordinary plans? Does He call the perfect ones? Or does He reach down into this messy world and use the people we would never expect? The grandson of Abraham was no angel. Jacob was a character controlled by fear, the last person we would ever expect God to use. But God saw different and took him on an unforgettable journey!
