Esdras 2:41

Picking up where 2 Chronicles ends, Ezra describes the return of exiles to Jerusalem and the eventual rebuilding of the temple. Using the influence of pagan kings and unbelieving rulers, God was faithful to bring his people back to the land and reestablish worship at the temple.

Ezra and Haggai call God’s people to rebuild what has been broken and return to wholehearted devotion. Through opposition, obedience, and renewed worship, these books reveal a faithful God who strengthens His people and restores what was lost. As you read with us, invite the Holy Spirit to stir fresh courage in your heart, realign your priorities, and rebuild the areas of your life that need His restoring touch.
