Amós 8:4

Do you wonder if God has anything to say about your work? Explore key verses from each chapter of the Bible that offer wisdom, guidance, and purpose for everyday work. Part 7: Hosea-Obadiah

Nearly everyone agrees that this world is broken. But what if there’s a solution? This seven-day Easter plan begins with the unique experience of the thief on the cross and considers why the only real answer to brokenness is found in the execution of an innocent man: Jesus, the Son of God.

Written by the shepherd-prophet Amos, this book exposes Israel's sinful religious hypocrisy and corrupt leadership. Amos prophesies against their rejection of God's law and the terrible social injustice perpetrated against the poor and vulnerable. As Amos foretells judgment on many nations, including Israel, we are reminded of the ultimate need for restoration and the promise of greater redemption.

Amos is an extraordinary man with a very unusual story. He was a shepherd who didn’t even consider himself to be a prophet, who spoke against the injustices carried out by the wealthy and powerful men and women in the northern kingdom of Israel. This Bible plan explores the heart of the story of Amos and provides tools to help the reader engage with the message within the book. Throughout the plan, we feature key habits we can use to discover the treasures of Amos and put them into practice.
