Amós 1:2

Amos is often called a prophet of doom. When you begin to read his prophecy, it doesn’t take long to realize that nickname fits. On the surface, his prophecy doesn’t sound like a happy formula for the good life. However, every condemnation he gives serves as an invitation, a cry for us to “seek God and live” (Amos 5:4). This kind of living will bring us peace and true prosperity.

Righteous Boldness is a five-day devotional journey designed to help you overcome fear and live with God-given courage. Through the stories of Moses, David, the early believers, and Jesus Christ, this plan reveals how boldness is formed through faith, righteousness, prayer, God’s Word, and the presence of the Holy Spirit. Each day offers practical biblical principles for confronting intimidation, using your voice, standing in spiritual authority, and moving forward in obedience. You will be encouraged to reject timidity, embrace your identity in Christ, and live confidently as one who belongs to the Lion of the tribe of Judah.

Written by the shepherd-prophet Amos, this book exposes Israel's sinful religious hypocrisy and corrupt leadership. Amos prophesies against their rejection of God's law and the terrible social injustice perpetrated against the poor and vulnerable. As Amos foretells judgment on many nations, including Israel, we are reminded of the ultimate need for restoration and the promise of greater redemption.
