2Samuel 15:36

Dealing With Our Past is a deeply reflective and hope-filled devotional journey that explores how God redeems brokenness, failure, shame, trauma, and regret. Through the lives of biblical figures such as Moses, Rahab, David, Peter, and Paul, this devotional reveals that God is not intimidated by our history. Instead, He often uses the places of pain, failure, rejection, and weakness to display His grace, restoration, and purpose

Have you ever seen someone’s hands go up in surrender when frustration overwhelms them? It’s the same position we assume in the physical act of worship. Although spiritual warfare is ever-present in the life of a believer, worship is a weapon to counter everything that attempts to distance and distract us from the Lord's presence. Join Liv Dooley through a seven-day plan to discover the power in surrender.

We know David, Moses, Abraham, Peter, and Paul. But Scripture is also filled with men whose names rarely make the sermon title—men who built, fought, served, stayed, and stood firm when others walked away. This 7-day plan uncovers the stories of seven overlooked men whose faithfulness mattered to God. Because God isn’t only looking for men who can stand on platforms. He’s looking for men who will stand their ground.

2 Samuel depicts the ascension and reign of King David following the death of Saul and Jonathan. David united the kingdom, established Jerusalem as the capital city, and extended the territory of Israel. At the crescendo of the book, God promises David that "your throne shall be established forever" (2 Samuel 7:16). Despite David's wickedness, God ultimately fulfills his promises to David through the person and work of Jesus Christ.
