2Pedro 2:3

Shortly after writing his first letter, Peter hears word of false teaching spreading amongst the churches in Asia Minor. The letter focuses on combating false teachers and encouraging believers to grow in spiritual maturity by studying the Scriptures. Second Peter reminds us to be diligent in confirming our calling by cultivating Christ-likeness in all aspects of our lives.

Not every spiritual voice is from God. Scripture commands believers to test the spirits and discern truth from deception. This devotional focuses on the clearest test of faithful Christian teaching: what is taught about Jesus Christ. The incarnation is central — the eternal Word became flesh and dwelt among us. As you read, ask God for discernment, courage, and compassion to recognize truth, reject false teaching, and remain faithful to Christ.
