2Reis 24:2

What began as a victorious return to the land in Joshua ends in destruction, defeat, and exile in 2 Kings. Yet even in exile, God was preserving his people and the line of David for a future coming King, whose reign would know no end.

In the beginning was the Word … but what came next? This plan is for anyone who wants a better understanding of the Bible. August – No complicated content, just a monthly chronological journey through the Bible. The Bible isn’t arranged in the order events happened; it’s usually organized by genre. August follows Judah’s final decline, the fall of Jerusalem, and the beginning of exile through the writings of Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Lamentations, Obadiah, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, and Nahum. You’ll witness God’s warnings, His judgment on sin, and His compassion for a broken people. This month highlights God’s sovereignty, justice, and faithfulness, reminding us that even in seasons of discipline and loss, He continues to offer hope and restoration.
