2Crônicas 36:7

Nehemiah was a visionary leader, innovator, and statesman. I believe that the Book of Nehemiah is as good an entrepreneur’s case study as any I use in the classes I teach at Carnegie Mellon. It offers lessons in leadership on par with well-documented examples of exemplary leadership from modern CEOs. Over the course of this 10-day study, we are going to learn by studying the life of Nehemiah.

God's Word on Work is a collection of City Bible Forum's Bible content for Workplace Groups. These studies were assembled as a part of YouVersion's Global Bible Month - November 2026

In the beginning was the Word … but what came next? This plan is for anyone who wants a better understanding of the Bible. It provides a chronological reading program that endeavors to place all biblical passages in their date order. Part Eight of this twelve-part one-year reading plan is titled ‘A Destroyer Carries Judah into Exile: 629 BC–587 BC’.

August – No complicated content, just a monthly chronological journey through the Bible. The Bible isn’t arranged in the order events happened; it’s usually organized by genre. August follows Judah’s final decline, the fall of Jerusalem, and the beginning of exile through the writings of Jeremiah, Ezekiel, Daniel, Lamentations, Obadiah, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, and Nahum. You’ll witness God’s warnings, His judgment on sin, and His compassion for a broken people. This month highlights God’s sovereignty, justice, and faithfulness, reminding us that even in seasons of discipline and loss, He continues to offer hope and restoration.
