1 Corinthians (1 Co) 12
12
1But, brothers, I do not want you to go on being ignorant about the things of the Spirit. 2You know that when you were pagans, no matter how you felt you were being led, you were being led astray to idols, which can’t speak at all. 3Therefore, I want to make it clear to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God ever says, “Yeshua is cursed!” and no one can say, “Yeshua is Lord,” except by the Ruach HaKodesh.
4Now there are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit gives them. 5Also there are different ways of serving, but it is the same Lord being served. 6And there are different modes of working, but it is the same God working them all in everyone. 7Moreover, to each person is given the particular manifestation of the Spirit that will be for the common good. 8To one, through the Spirit, is given a word of wisdom; to another, a word of knowledge, in accordance with the same Spirit; 9to another, faith, by the same Spirit; and to another, gifts of healing, by the one Spirit; 10to another, the working of miracles; to another, prophecy; to another, the ability to judge between spirits; to another, the ability to speak in different kinds of tongues; and to yet another, the ability to interpret tongues. 11One and the same Spirit is at work in all these things, distributing to each person as he chooses. 12For just as the body is one but has many parts; and all the parts of the body, though many, constitute one body; so it is with the Messiah. 13For it was by one Spirit that we were all immersed into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, slaves or free; and we were all given the one Spirit to drink.
14For indeed the body is not one part but many. 15If the foot says, “I’m not a hand, so I’m not part of the body,” that doesn’t make it stop being part of the body. 16And if the ear says, “I’m not an eye, so I’m not part of the body,” that doesn’t make it stop being part of the body. 17If the whole body were an eye, how could it hear? If it were all hearing, how could it smell? 18But as it is, God arranged each of the parts in the body exactly as he wanted them. 19Now if they were all just one part, where would the body be? 20But as it is, there are indeed many parts, yet just one body. 21So the eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you”; or the head to the feet, “I don’t need you.” 22On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be less important turn out to be all the more necessary; 23and upon body parts which we consider less dignified we bestow greater dignity; and the parts that aren’t attractive are the ones we make as attractive as we can, 24while our attractive parts have no need for such treatment. Indeed, God has put the body together in such a way that he gives greater dignity to the parts that lack it, 25So that there will be no disagreements within the body, but rather all the parts will be equally concerned for all the others. 26Thus if one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it; and if one part is honored, all the parts share its happiness.
27Now you together constitute the body of the Messiah, and individually you are parts of it. 28And God has placed in the Messianic Community first, emissaries; second, prophets; third, teachers; then those who work miracles; then those with gifts of healing; those with ability to help; those skilled in administration; and those who speak in various tongues. 29Not all are emissaries, are they? Not all are prophets, are they? or teachers? or miracle-workers? 30Not all have gifts of healing, not all speak in tongues, not all interpret, do they? 31Eagerly seek the better gifts.
But now I will show you the best way of all.

1And concerning the spiritual things, brethren, I do not wish you to be ignorant;
2ye have known that ye were nations, unto the dumb idols — as ye were led — being carried away;
3wherefore, I give you to understand that no one, in the Spirit of God speaking, saith Jesus [is] anathema, and no one is able to say Jesus [is] Lord, except in the Holy Spirit.
4And there are diversities of gifts, and the same Spirit;
5and there are diversities of ministrations, and the same Lord;
6and there are diversities of workings, and it is the same God — who is working the all in all.
7And to each hath been given the manifestation of the Spirit for profit;
8for to one through the Spirit hath been given a word of wisdom, and to another a word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit;
9and to another faith in the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healings in the same Spirit;
10and to another in-workings of mighty deeds; and to another prophecy; and to another discernings of spirits; and to another [divers] kinds of tongues; and to another interpretation of tongues:
11and all these doth work the one and the same Spirit, dividing to each severally as he intendeth.
12For, even as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the one body, being many, are one body, so also [is] the Christ,
13for also in one Spirit we all to one body were baptized, whether Jews or Greeks, whether servants or freemen, and all into one Spirit were made to drink,
14for also the body is not one member, but many;
15if the foot may say, ‘Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body;’ it is not, because of this, not of the body;
16and if the ear may say, ‘Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body;’ it is not, because of this, not of the body?
17If the whole body [were] an eye, where the hearing? if the whole hearing, where the smelling?
18and now, God did set the members each one of them in the body, according as He willed,
19and if all were one member, where the body?
20and now, indeed, [are] many members, and one body;
21and an eye is not able to say to the hand, ‘I have no need of thee;’ nor again the head to the feet, ‘I have no need of you.’
22But much more the members of the body which seem to be more infirm are necessary,
23and those that we think to be less honourable of the body, around these we put more abundant honour, and our unseemly things have seemliness more abundant,
24and our seemly things have no need; but God did temper the body together, to the lacking part having given more abundant honour,
25that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same anxiety for one another,
26and whether one member doth suffer, suffer with [it] do all the members, or one member is glorified, rejoice with [it] do all the members;
27and ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
28And some, indeed, did God set in the assembly, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, afterwards powers, afterwards gifts of healings, helpings, governings, divers kinds of tongues;
29[are] all apostles? [are] all prophets? [are] all teachers? [are] all powers?
30have all gifts of healings? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?
31and desire earnestly the better gifts; and yet a far excelling way do I shew to you:
