In Matthew, Mark and Luke, the casting out of demons is closely linked to healings - as a sign of Jesus' divine authority. His disciples also receive this authority. The Gospels show: Where Jesus works, evil must give way. But not everyone recognizes God's power in this - the Pharisees even accuse him of working with Beelzebul. This reading plan highlights key events and their significance for our faith today.

At the core of it, discipleship is taking care of and tending all the things Jesus commanded us. Yet how can we know what to do if we don't know His words? That is why we're exploring all of Jesus' words across the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. Each day includes a Bible narration from Ps Mark Varughese of the words of Jesus. NOTE: the translation used in the narration is the New King James Version.

Just as God first breathed the spirit of life into man in Eden, so we rely on Him to sustain us still. We survive by His power, through His word, and for His glory. To believe the Gospel is to live; to live is to obey. This is the freedom for which Jesus set us free.

There are different types of “seeing”. There is physical sight where we look at things and identify them; there is the “seeing” where we walk into a chaotic situation and someone says, “Do you see what’s going on here?” And from what we see we describe the scene as “chaos”. There is another level of “seeing” and Part 8 touches on this type – spiritual sight. What do you see?
