Leviticus 24
24
1 The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2“Command the children of Israel, that they bring to you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually. 3Outside of the veil of the Testimony, in the Tent of Meeting, Aaron shall keep it in order from evening to morning before the LORD continually. It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations. 4He shall keep in order the lamps on the pure gold lamp stand before the LORD continually.
5“You shall take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes of it: two tenths of an efah#24:5 1 efah is about 22 litres or about 2/3 of a bushel shall be in one cake. 6You shall set them in two rows, six on a row, on the pure gold table before the LORD. 7You shall put pure frankincense on each row, that it may be to the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire to the LORD. 8Every Sabbath day he shall set it in order before the LORD continually. It is an everlasting covenant on the behalf of the children of Israel. 9It shall be for Aaron and his sons. They shall eat it in a holy place; for it is most holy to him of the offerings of the LORD made by fire by a perpetual statute.”
10 The son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out amongst the children of Israel; and the son of the Israelite woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp. 11The son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him to Moses. His mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan. 12They put him in custody until the LORD’s will should be declared to them. 13The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 14“Bring him who cursed out of the camp; and let all who heard him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him. 15You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin. 16He who blasphemes the LORD’s name, he shall surely be put to death. All the congregation shall certainly stone him. The foreigner as well as the native-born shall be put to death when he blasphemes the Name.
17“‘He who strikes any man mortally shall surely be put to death. 18He who strikes an animal mortally shall make it good, life for life. 19If anyone injures his neighbour, it shall be done to him as he has done: 20fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. It shall be done to him as he has injured someone. 21He who kills an animal shall make it good; and he who kills a man shall be put to death. 22You shall have one kind of law for the foreigner as well as the native-born; for I am the LORD your God.’”
23 Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and they brought him who had cursed out of the camp, and stoned him with stones. The children of Israel did as the LORD commanded Moses.

1And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,
2“Command the children of Yisra’ĕl that they bring to you clear oil of pressed olives for the light, to make the lamps burn continually.
3“Outside the veil of the Witness, in the Tent of Appointment, Aharon is to arrange it from evening until morning before יהוה continually – a law forever throughout your generations.
4“He is to arrange the lamps on the clean gold lampstand before יהוה continually.
5“And you shall take fine flour and bake twelve cakes with it, two-tenths of an ĕphah in each cake.
6“And you shall set them in two rows, six in a row, on the clean table before יהוה.
7“And you shall put clear frankincense on each row, and it shall be on the bread as a remembrance portion, an offering made by fire to יהוה.
8“On every Sabbath he is to arrange it before יהוה continually, from the children of Yisra’ĕl – an everlasting covenant.
9And it shall be for Aharon and his sons, and they shall eat it in the set-apart place, because it is most set-apart to him from the offerings of יהוה made by fire – an everlasting law.” ”
10And the son of an Yisra’ĕli woman, whose father was a Mitsrian man, went out among the children of Yisra’ĕl. And the Yisra’ĕli woman’s son and a man of Yisra’ĕl strove in the camp.
11And the Yisra’ĕli woman’s son blasphemed the Name, and cursed. So they brought him to Mosheh. Now his mother’s name was Shelomith the daughter of Diḇri, of the tribe of Dan.
12And they put him under guard, that it might be declared to them at the mouth of יהוה.
13And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,
14“Bring the one who has cursed outside the camp, and all those who heard him shall lay their hands on his head, and all the congregation shall stone him.
15“And speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘Anyone who curses his Elohim shall bear his sin.
16‘And he who blasphemes the Name of יהוה shall certainly be put to death, and all the congregation certainly stone him, the stranger as well as the native. When he blasphemes the Name, he is put to death.
17‘And a man who strikes the being of any man shall certainly be put to death.
18‘And he who strikes a beast repays it, body for body.
19‘And when a man inflicts a blemish upon his neighbour, as he has done so it is done to him:
20‘Fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he inflicts a blemish upon him, so it is done to him.
21‘And he who strikes a beast repays it, and he who strikes a man to death is put to death.
22‘You are to have one right-ruling, for the stranger and for the native, for I am יהוה your Elohim.’ ”
23And Mosheh spoke to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and they brought the one who cursed outside the camp, and stoned him with stones. And the children of Yisra’ĕl did as יהוה commanded Mosheh.
