Song of Solomon 6
6
1Whither is thy beloved gone,
O thou fairest among women?
Whither hath thy beloved turned him,
That we may seek him with thee?
2My beloved is gone down to his garden,
To the beds of spices,
To feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
3I am my beloved’s, and my beloved is mine:
He feedeth his flock among the lilies.
4Thou art fair, O my love, as Tirzah,
Comely as Jerusalem,
Terrible as an army with banners.
5Turn away thine eyes from me,
For they have overcome me.
Thy hair is as a flock of goats,
That lie along the side of Gilead.
6Thy teeth are like a flock of ewes,
Which are come up from the washing;
Whereof every one hath twins,
And none is bereaved among them.
7Thy temples are like a piece of a pomegranate
Behind thy veil.
8There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines,
And virgins without number.
9My dove, my undefiled, is but one;
She is the only one of her mother;
She is the choice one of her that bare her.
The daughters saw her, and called her blessed;
Yea, the queens and the concubines, and they praised her.
10Who is she that looketh forth as the morning,
Fair as the moon,
Clear as the sun,
Terrible as an army with banners?
11I went down into the garden of nuts,
To see the green plants of the valley,
To see whether the vine budded,
And the pomegranates were in flower.
12Before I was aware, my soul set me
Among the chariots of my princely people.
13Return, return, O Shulammite;
Return, return, that we may look upon thee.
Why will ye look upon the Shulammite,
As upon the dance of Mahanaim?

The Daughters of Jerusalem
1Where has your beloved gone,
#Song 1:8; 5:9O fairest among women?
Where has your beloved turned aside,
That we may seek him with you?
The Shulamite
2My beloved has gone to his #Song 4:16; 5:1garden,
To the beds of spices,
To feed his flock in the gardens,
And to gather lilies.
3#Song 2:16; 7:10I am my beloved’s,
And my beloved is mine.
He feeds his flock among the lilies.
Praise of the Shulamite’s Beauty
The Beloved
4O my love, you are as beautiful as Tirzah,
Lovely as Jerusalem,
Awesome as an army with banners!
5Turn your eyes away from me,
For they have overcome me.
Your hair is #Song 4:1like a flock of goats
Going down from Gilead.
6#Song 4:2Your teeth are like a flock of sheep
Which have come up from the washing;
Every one bears twins,
And none is barren among them.
7#Song 4:3Like a piece of pomegranate
Are your temples behind your veil.
8There are sixty queens
And eighty concubines,
And #Song 1:3virgins without number.
9My dove, my #Song 2:14; 5:2perfect one,
Is the only one,
The only one of her mother,
The favorite of the one who bore her.
The daughters saw her
And called her blessed,
The queens and the concubines,
And they praised her.
10Who is she who looks forth as the morning,
Fair as the moon,
Clear as the sun,
#Song 6:4Awesome as an army with banners?
The Shulamite
11I went down to the garden of nuts
To see the verdure of the valley,
#Song 7:12To see whether the vine had budded
And the pomegranates had bloomed.
12Before I was even aware,
My soul had made me
As the chariots of my noble people.
The Beloved and His Friends
13Return, return, O Shulamite;
Return, return, that we may look upon you!
The Shulamite
What would you see in the Shulamite—
As it were, the dance of the two camps?
