Nehemiah 12:35-36

In this 5-day devotional, we will walk through the final chapters of Nehemiah and see what real renewal looks like. From trusting God instead of what we build, to remembering his faithfulness, to living in obedience, this plan will help you move from intention to action. You will also be reminded that while we often fall short, our hope is not in ourselves, but in Jesus.

Along with Ezra, Nehemiah chronicles the post-exilic history of Israel. Nehemiah's leadership helped resettle Israelites in the land and rebuild Jerusalem's walls. However, Nehemiah's greatest legacy was a renewed national identity rooted in repentance of sin and obedience to God.

This plan is a guide to discover God’s story as it unfolds in the Bible - from Genesis through Revelation. Over 12 days, each devotional will introduce one part of that story. Each will list the Scripture passages covering that period, and dates, highlight its main points and briefly summarize the part it plays within the context of God’s redemptive plan. The Bible reading each day should take about 30 minutes.

In this 13 day plan, you will study the book of Nehemiah, which highlights the idea of Christ vs. culture and the collision of God and government. We hope you’ll learn how to be a spirit-filled leader and persevere in God’s call for your life despite opposition from others.
