Leviticus 7
7
1And this is the law of the trespass-offering: it is most holy. 2In the place where they kill the burnt-offering shall they kill the trespass-offering; and the blood thereof shall he sprinkle upon the altar round about. 3And he shall offer of it all the fat thereof: the fat tail, and the fat that covereth the inwards, 4and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the caul upon the liver, with the kidneys, shall he take away; 5and the priest shall burn them upon the altar for an offering made by fire unto Jehovah: it is a trespass-offering. 6Every male among the priests shall eat thereof: it shall be eaten in a holy place: it is most holy. 7As is the sin-offering, so is the trespass-offering; there is one law for them: the priest that maketh atonement therewith, he shall have it. 8And the priest that offereth any man’s burnt-offering, even the priest shall have to himself the skin of the burnt-offering which he hath offered. 9And every meal-offering that is baken in the oven, and all that is dressed in the frying-pan, and on the baking-pan, shall be the priest’s that offereth it. 10And every meal-offering, mingled with oil, or dry, shall all the sons of Aaron have, one as well as another.
11And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace-offerings, which one shall offer unto Jehovah. 12If he offer it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mingled with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil, of fine flour soaked. 13With cakes of leavened bread he shall offer his oblation with the sacrifice of his peace-offerings for thanksgiving. 14And of it he shall offer one out of each oblation for a heave-offering unto Jehovah; it shall be the priest’s that sprinkleth the blood of the peace-offerings.
15And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace-offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten on the day of his oblation; he shall not leave any of it until the morning. 16But if the sacrifice of his oblation be a vow, or a freewill-offering, it shall be eaten on the day that he offereth his sacrifice; and on the morrow that which remaineth of it shall be eaten: 17but that which remaineth of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burnt with fire. 18And if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace-offerings be eaten on the third day, it shall not be accepted, neither shall it be imputed unto him that offereth it: it shall be an abomination, and the soul that eateth of it shall bear his iniquity.
19And the flesh that toucheth any unclean thing shall not be eaten; it shall be burnt with fire. And as for the flesh, every one that is clean shall eat thereof: 20but the soul that eateth of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace-offerings, that pertain unto Jehovah, having his uncleanness upon him, that soul shall be cut off from his people. 21And when any one shall touch any unclean thing, the uncleanness of man, or an unclean beast, or any unclean abomination, and eat of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace-offerings, which pertain unto Jehovah, that soul shall be cut off from his people.
22And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 23Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Ye shall eat no fat, of ox, or sheep, or goat. 24And the fat of that which dieth of itself, and the fat of that which is torn of beasts, may be used for any other service; but ye shall in no wise eat of it. 25For whosoever eateth the fat of the beast, of which men offer an offering made by fire unto Jehovah, even the soul that eateth it shall be cut off from his people. 26And ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of bird or of beast, in any of your dwellings. 27Whosoever it be that eateth any blood, that soul shall be cut off from his people.
28And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 29Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, He that offereth the sacrifice of his peace-offerings unto Jehovah shall bring his oblation unto Jehovah out of the sacrifice of his peace-offerings: 30his own hands shall bring the offerings of Jehovah made by fire; the fat with the breast shall he bring, that the breast may be waved for a wave-offering before Jehovah. 31And the priest shall burn the fat upon the altar; but the breast shall be Aaron’s and his sons’. 32And the right thigh shall ye give unto the priest for a heave-offering out of the sacrifices of your peace-offerings. 33He among the sons of Aaron that offereth the blood of the peace-offerings, and the fat, shall have the right thigh for a portion. 34For the wave-breast and the heave-thigh have I taken of the children of Israel out of the sacrifices of their peace-offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the priest and unto his sons as their portion for ever from the children of Israel.
35This is the anointing-portion of Aaron, and the anointing-portion of his sons, out of the offerings of Jehovah made by fire, in the day when he presented them to minister unto Jehovah in the priest’s office; 36which Jehovah commanded to be given them of the children of Israel, in the day that he anointed them. It is their portion for ever throughout their generations.
37This is the law of the burnt-offering, of the meal-offering, and of the sin-offering, and of the trespass-offering, and of the consecration, and of the sacrifice of peace-offerings; 38which Jehovah commanded Moses in mount Sinai, in the day that he commanded the children of Israel to offer their oblations unto Jehovah, in the wilderness of Sinai.

The Law of the Guilt Offering
1#Lev 5:1–6; 5:14–6:7Likewise this is the law of the guilt offering. It is most holy. 2#Lev 1:5; 1:11In the place where they kill the burnt offering they shall kill the guilt offering, and its blood shall he sprinkle on the sides of the altar. 3#Ex 29:13; Lev 3:15–16He shall offer all the fat. The fatty tail and the fat that covers the entrails, 4and the two kidneys and the fat that is on them, which is on the loins, and the appendage that is above the liver, along with the kidneys, he shall take away. 5And the priest shall burn them on the altar for a food offering made by fire to the Lord. It is a guilt offering. 6#Lev 6:29; 2:3Every male among the priests shall eat from it. It shall be eaten in a holy place. It is most holy.
7#Lev 6:25–26; 14:13As the sin offering, so is the guilt offering; there is one law for them: the priest who makes atonement shall have it. 8The priest who offers anyone’s burnt offering shall have for himself the skin of the burnt offering that he has offered. 9#Lev 2:10; Nu 18:9Every grain offering that is baked in the oven and all that is prepared in a pan or griddle shall be for the priest who offers it. 10And every grain offering, whether mixed with oil or dry, shall be equally shared among all the sons of Aaron.
The Law of Peace Offerings
11This is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings that a person shall offer to the Lord.
12#Lev 2:4; Nu 6:15If he gives it as a thanksgiving offering, then he shall offer with the thanksgiving sacrifice unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers smeared with oil, and cakes of wheat flour mixed with olive oil. 13#Am 4:5; Lev 23:17Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of his thanksgiving peace offerings. 14#Nu 18:19; Ex 29:27–28From this he shall offer one loaf from each offering, as a gift to the Lord. It shall be for the priest who sprinkles the blood of the peace offerings. 15The flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning.
16#Lev 19:5–8; Dt 12:6But if the sacrifice of his offering is a vow or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offers his sacrifice, and on the next day also the remainder of it can be eaten. 17#Ex 12:10But the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burned up with fire. 18#Lev 19:7–8; 11:41If any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings is eaten at all on the third day, the one eating shall not be accepted, nor shall it be imputed to him who offers it. It shall be contaminated, and the one who eats of it shall bear his iniquity.
19The flesh that touches any unclean thing shall not be eaten. It shall be burned up with fire. And as for the other flesh, all who are ritually clean can eat of it. 20But the person who eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings that belong to the Lord, and who has any uncleanness on him, that individual shall be cut off from his people. 21#Lev 5:2–3; 11:10–13Moreover the person who shall touch any unclean thing, whether the uncleanness of man or any unclean beast or any detestable unclean creature, and then eats of the flesh of the sacrifice of the peace offering that belongs to the Lord, that individual shall be cut off from his people.
Eating Fat and Blood Forbidden
22The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 23#Lev 3:16–17Speak to the children of Israel, saying: You shall not eat any fat of an ox, a sheep, or a goat. 24#Ex 22:31; Lev 17:15The fat of an animal that dies of itself and the fat of that which is torn by beasts may be used in any other way, but you shall certainly not eat of it. 25For whoever eats the fat of an animal that is a food offering made by fire to the Lord, that individual shall be cut off from his people. 26#Ge 9:4; Lev 3:17Moreover you shall not eat any manner of blood, whether from a fowl or animal, in any of your dwellings. 27Whoever eats any manner of blood, that individual shall be cut off from his people.
The Priests’ Share
28The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 29Speak to the children of Israel, saying: He who offers the sacrifice of his peace offerings to the Lord shall bring his sacrifice to the Lord from his peace offerings. 30#Nu 6:20; Lev 3:3–4His own hands shall bring the food offerings of the Lord made by fire, the fat with the breast that the breast may be waved for a wave offering before the Lord. 31#Lev 3:5; 3:11The priest shall burn the fat on the altar, but the breast shall be for Aaron and his sons. 32#Lev 7:34; 9:21The right thigh you shall give to the priest for a contribution offering for the sacrifice of your peace offerings. 33The one among the sons of Aaron who offers the blood of the peace offerings and the fat shall have the right thigh for his portion. 34#Nu 18:18–19; Lev 10:14–15For the breast that is waved and the thigh that is contributed I have taken from the children of Israel, from the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them to Aaron the priest and to his sons as a perpetual portion from the children of Israel.
35This is the consecrated portion for Aaron and his sons, from the food offerings of the Lord made by fire, in the day when Moses presented them to minister as priests before the Lord, 36#Lev 8:12; 8:30which the Lord commanded that they be given this, in the day that he anointed them, from the children of Israel as a perpetual portion throughout their generations.
37#Ex 29:1This is the law of the burnt offering, of the grain offering, and of the sin offering, and of the guilt offering, and of the ordinations, and of the sacrifice of the peace offerings, 38#Lev 1:1–2which the Lord commanded Moses on Mount Sinai, in the day that He commanded the children of Israel to offer their offerings to the Lord in the Wilderness of Sinai.
