The vocations represented in the characters of Easter can teach us a lot about God and how our work is a means of co-laboring with our risen King. In this four-day plan, we’ll look at the vocations of Mary, a baker, Barabbas, and Christ himself to draw out applications for our own work today.

Say No to Say Yes: The faith to choose God over the world. In a world that pulls us in and from every direction—with pressure to please people, meet cultural expectations. For the ones who feel torn: between conviction and culture, between faith and fear, between God’s call and family expectations. It’s about saying no to distractions, to people-pleasing, to inherited pressures… so that you can boldly say yes to the One who called you. Because faith is not passive. Faith is work. Faith is boundaries. Faith is believing, even when you feel like quitting.

Our proposal is to share some reflections on the “Lord’s Prayer,” surely the most well-known passage in the entire Bible. It has been sung in verse and prose, recited as poetry, prayed and chanted across many religions—yet perhaps not always fully understood. For this journey, we draw inspiration from an older book by South African pastor Dr. Weldon Phillip Keller. And here I am, Edilaney Gonçalves, writing to you from Brazil!
