Psalms 131
131
A Song of Ascents. Of David.
1Lord, my heart is not haughty, # Ro 12:16
nor my eyes lofty.
Neither do I involve myself in great matters,
nor in things too profound for me. # Job 42:3
2Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul,
like a weaned child with his mother;
like a weaned child is my soul within me. # 1Co 14:20
3O Israel, hope in the Lord # Ps 130:7
from this time forth and forevermore.

Psalms 131
131
(A song by David for worship.)
Trust the Lord!
1I am not conceited, Lord,
and I don't waste my time
on impossible schemes.
2But I have learned to feel safe
and satisfied,
like a young child
in its mother's arms.
3People of Israel,
you must trust the Lord
now and forever.
