The Rewards of Wisdom
1#Pr 4:5; Dt 8:1 My son, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments;
2#Pr 4:10; Ps 91:16 for length of days and long life
and peace will they add to you.
3#Pr 7:3; 6:21; 2Co 3:3 Do not let mercy and truth forsake you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart,

in the sight of God and man.

and lean not on your own understanding;

and He will direct your paths.

fear the Lord and depart from evil.

and with the first fruits of all your increase;

and your presses will burst out with new wine.

nor be weary of His correction;

even as a father the son in whom he delights.
13Happy is the man who finds wisdom,
and the man who gets understanding;

and all the things you may desire are not to be compared with her.

by understanding He has established the heavens;

and the clouds drop down the dew.

and choose none of his ways;

but His secret counsel is with the righteous.

but He blesses the habitation of the just.
34#Jas 4:6; 1Pe 5:5; Ps 138:6 Surely He scorns the scornful,
but He gives favor to the humble.
35The wise will inherit glory,
but shame will be the legacy of fools.
