Adam’s Descendants
1This is the book of the generations of Adam.
In the day when God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. # Ge 1:26–27; Eph 4:24 2He created them male and female. # Ge 1:27; Gal 3:28 He blessed them and called them Mankind in the day when they were created.
3Adam lived one hundred and thirty years and fathered a son in his own likeness, after his own image, and called his name Seth. # Ge 4:25 4The days of Adam after he fathered Seth were eight hundred years, and he had other sons and daughters. 5So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died. # Ge 3:19
6Seth lived one hundred and five years and fathered Enosh. # Ge 4:26 7Seth lived after the birth of Enosh eight hundred and seven years and had other sons and daughters. 8So all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.
9Enosh lived ninety years and fathered Kenan. 10Enosh lived after the birth of Kenan eight hundred and fifteen years and had other sons and daughters. 11So all the days of Enosh were nine hundred and five years, and he died.
12Kenan lived seventy years and fathered Mahalalel. 13Kenan lived after the birth of Mahalalel eight hundred and forty years and had other sons and daughters. 14So all the days of Kenan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.
15Mahalalel lived sixty-five years and fathered Jared. 16Mahalalel lived after the birth of Jared eight hundred and thirty years and had other sons and daughters. 17So all the days of Mahalalel were eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he died.
18Jared lived one hundred and sixty-two years and fathered Enoch. 19Jared lived after the birth of Enoch eight hundred years and had other sons and daughters. 20So all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he died.
21Enoch lived sixty-five years and fathered Methuselah. 22Enoch walked with God after the birth of Methuselah for three hundred years and had other sons and daughters. # Ge 6:9; Mic 6:8 23So all the days of Enoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. 24Enoch walked with God, and then he was no more because God took him. # 2Ki 2:11
25Methuselah lived one hundred and eighty-seven years and fathered Lamech. 26Methuselah lived after the birth of Lamech seven hundred and eighty-two years and had other sons and daughters. 27So all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.
28Lamech lived one hundred and eighty-two years and had a son. 29He named his son Noah, saying, “This one will comfort us concerning our work and the toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord has cursed.” # Ge 3:17–19 30Lamech lived after the birth of Noah five hundred and ninety-five years and had other sons and daughters. 31So all the days of Lamech were seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died.
32Noah was five hundred years old and fathered Shem, Ham, and Japheth. # Ge 6:10

Genesis 5
1¶ This is the book of the descendants of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him in the likeness of God;
2male and female created he them and blessed them and called their name Man, in the day when they were created.
3And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years and begat a son in his own likeness, after his image, and called his name Seth:
4And the days of Adam after he had begotten Seth were eight hundred years, and he begat sons and daughters;
5and all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.
6¶ And Seth lived one hundred and five years and begat Enos.
7And Seth lived after he begat Enos eight hundred and seven years and begat sons and daughters;
8and all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.
9And Enos lived ninety years and begat Cainan,
10and Enos lived after he begat Cainan eight hundred and fifteen years and begat sons and daughters;
11and all the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years, and he died.
12And Cainan lived seventy years and begat Mahalaleel;
13and Cainan lived after he begat Mahalaleel eight hundred and forty years and begat sons and daughters;
14and all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.
15And Mahalaleel lived sixty-five years and begat Jared;
16and Mahalaleel lived after he begat Jared eight hundred and thirty years and begat sons and daughters;
17and all the days of Mahalaleel were eight hundred ninety-five years and he died.
18And Jared lived one hundred sixty-two years and he begat Enoch;
19and Jared lived after he begat Enoch eight hundred years and begat sons and daughters;
20and all the days of Jared were nine hundred sixty-two years, and he died.
21¶ And Enoch lived sixty-five years and begat Methuselah;
22And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years and begat sons and daughters;
23and all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty-five years.
24And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.
25¶ And Methuselah lived one hundred eighty-seven years, and begat Lamech;
26and Methuselah lived after he begat Lamech seven hundred eighty-two years and begat sons and daughters;
27and all the days of Methuselah were nine hundred sixty-nine years, and he died.
28¶ And Lamech lived one hundred eighty-two years and begat a son;
29and he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands because of the ground which the Lord has cursed.
30And Lamech lived after he begat Noah five hundred ninety-five years and begat sons and daughters;
31and all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy-seven years, and he died.
32And Noah was five hundred years old; and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
