In this part of the "Uniqueness of Christ" series, pastor Mark Rae guides us to meditate on Jesus' unique role as Messiah or Anointed One. Multiple passages in the Bible tell us what Jesus and others said about His role and how people reacted to it. How might we best respond to Jesus' unique role?

The WORD on the cross... The WORD in the grave... The WORD resurrected... Day 1 examines Jesus' final words on the cross. Day 2 contemplates the silence of Saturday—the "between" day when Jesus lay in the tomb. Day 3 celebrates how Jesus, as the Word, offers the final, triumphant word over sin and death.

 Personal happiness and satisfaction seem to be the highest goal in the world we live in today. In such a society the nature of commitment becomes warped. In this devotional we look at the importance the Bible has placed on commitment and why we need to apply it in our lives.  

In every stage of life and the human experience, there is the One who understands what we are going through. We are not alone and suffering is not some sort of vague part of life. In the midst of suffering, we gain a greater understanding of what Christ did for us - No matter how dark things may seem, no matter how difficult things may seem, He is with us.
