Those who are trying to force you to be circumcised want to look good to others. They don’t want to be persecuted for teaching that the cross of Christ alone can save. And even those who advocate circumcision don’t keep the whole law themselves. They only want you to be circumcised so they can boast about it and claim you as their disciples. As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died.

Encouragement from a mom who launched her seven children and lived to tell about it. Part 4 of 12 devotions in this series from Robin Meadows.
Are you caught up in doing good deeds, but missing the gospel of faith? Are you feeling discouraged by faith based in works? Paul addresses this exact issue in Galatians and explores the foundational truth of the freedom of faith in Jesus Christ. Galatians offers a celebration of the freedom of grace and re-centers your focus on the law of love in God in three parts: the gospel of grace defined, the gospel of grace examined and the gospel of grace applied.
Life piles up. Work deadlines, family needs, finances, health struggles, church commitments—before long, it feels like the weight of the world is pressing down. As men, our instinct is to push harder, grit our teeth, and power through. But when we’re overwhelmed, God isn’t asking us to carry more—He’s inviting us to carry it differently. Let’s see what Scripture says about finding peace, strength, and perspective in the middle of the overload.
