The Eternal Faithfulness of the Lord
1Oh, #1 Chr. 16:8–22, 34; Ps. 106:1; Is. 12:4give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
#Ps. 145:12Make known His deeds among the peoples!
2Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him;
#Ps. 119:27Talk of all His wondrous works!
3Glory in His holy name;
Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!
4Seek the Lord and His strength;
#Ps. 27:8Seek His face evermore!
5#Ps. 77:11Remember His marvelous works which He has done,
His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth,
6O seed of Abraham His servant,
You children of Jacob, His chosen ones!
7He is the Lord our God;
#(Is. 26:9)His judgments are in all the earth.
8He #Luke 1:72remembers His covenant forever,
The word which He commanded, for a thousand generations,
9#Gen. 17:2; Luke 1:73; (Gal. 3:17); Heb. 6:17The covenant which He made with Abraham,
And His oath to Isaac,
10And confirmed it to Jacob for a statute,
To Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11Saying, #Gen. 13:15; 15:18“To you I will give the land of Canaan
As the allotment of your inheritance,”
12#Gen. 34:30; (Deut. 7:7)When they were few in number,
Indeed very few, #Gen. 23:4; Heb. 11:9and strangers in it.
13When they went from one nation to another,
From one kingdom to another people,
14#Gen. 35:5He permitted no one to do them wrong;
Yes, #Gen. 12:17He rebuked kings for their sakes,
15Saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones,
And do My prophets no harm.”
16Moreover #Gen. 41:54He called for a famine in the land;
He destroyed all the #Lev. 26:26; Is. 3:1; Ezek. 4:16provision of bread.
17#(Gen. 45:5)He sent a man before them—
Joseph—who #Gen. 37:28, 36; Acts 7:9was sold as a slave.
18#Gen. 40:15They hurt his feet with fetters,
He was laid in irons.
19Until the time that his word came to pass,
#Gen. 39:11–21; 41:25, 42, 43The word of the Lord tested him.
20#Gen. 41:14The king sent and released him,
The ruler of the people let him go free.
21#Gen. 41:40–44He made him lord of his house,
And ruler of all his possessions,
22To bind his princes at his pleasure,
And teach his elders wisdom.
23#Gen. 46:6; Acts 7:15Israel also came into Egypt,
And Jacob dwelt #Ps. 78:51in the land of Ham.
24#Ex. 1:7, 9He increased His people greatly,
And made them stronger than their enemies.

To deal craftily with His servants.
26#Ex. 3:10; 4:12–15He sent Moses His servant,
And Aaron whom He had chosen.
27They #Ex. 7—12; Ps. 78:43performed His signs among them,
And wonders in the land of Ham.
28He sent darkness, and made it dark;
And they did not rebel against His word.
29#Ex. 7:20, 21; Ps. 78:44He turned their waters into blood,
And killed their fish.
30#Ex. 8:6Their land abounded with frogs,
Even in the chambers of their kings.
31#Ex. 8:16, 17He spoke, and there came swarms of flies,
And lice in all their territory.
32#Ex. 9:23–25He gave them hail for rain,
And flaming fire in their land.
33#Ps. 78:47He struck their vines also, and their fig trees,
And splintered the trees of their territory.
34#Ex. 10:4He spoke, and locusts came,
Young locusts without number,
35And ate up all the vegetation in their land,
And devoured the fruit of their ground.
36#Ex. 12:29; 13:15; Ps. 135:8; 136:10He also destroyed all the firstborn in their land,
#Gen. 49:3The first of all their strength.
37#Ex. 12:35, 36He also brought them out with silver and gold,
And there was none feeble among His tribes.
38#Ex. 12:33Egypt was glad when they departed,
For the fear of them had fallen upon them.
39#Ex. 13:21; Neh. 9:12; Ps. 78:14; Is. 4:5He spread a cloud for a covering,
And fire to give light in the night.
40#Ex. 16:12The people asked, and He brought quail,
And #Ps. 78:24satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
41#Ex. 17:6; Num. 20:11; Ps. 78:15; 114:8; Is. 48:21; (1 Cor. 10:4)He opened the rock, and water gushed out;
It ran in the dry places like a river.
42For He remembered #Gen. 15:13, 14; Ps. 105:8His holy promise,
And Abraham His servant.
43He brought out His people with joy,
His chosen ones with gladness.
44#Josh. 11:16–23; 13:7; Ps. 78:55He gave them the lands of the Gentiles,
And they inherited the labor of the nations,
45#(Deut. 4:1, 40)That they might observe His statutes
And keep His laws.
Praise the Lord!
