Laws of Grain and Drink Offerings
1And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 2#Lev. 23:10; Num. 15:18; Deut. 7:1“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you have come into the land you are to inhabit, which I am giving to you, 3and you #Lev. 1:2, 3make an offering by fire to the Lord, a burnt offering or a sacrifice, #Lev. 7:16; 22:18, 21to fulfill a vow or as a freewill offering or #Lev. 23:2, 8, 12, 38; Num. 28:18, 19, 27; Deut. 16:10in your appointed feasts, to make a #Gen. 8:21; Ex. 29:18; Lev. 1:9sweet aroma to the Lord, from the herd or the flock, 4then #Lev. 2:1; 6:14he who presents his offering to the Lord shall bring #Ex. 29:40; Lev. 23:13a grain offering of one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed #Lev. 14:10; Num. 28:5with one-fourth of a hin of oil; 5#Num. 28:7, 14and one-fourth of a hin of wine as a drink offering you shall prepare with the burnt offering or the sacrifice, for each #Lev. 1:10; 3:6; Num. 15:11; 28:4, 5lamb. 6#Num. 28:12, 14Or for a ram you shall prepare as a grain offering two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one-third of a hin of oil; 7and as a drink offering you shall offer one-third of a hin of wine as a sweet aroma to the Lord. 8And when you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering, or as a sacrifice to fulfill a vow, or as a #Lev. 7:11peace offering to the Lord, 9then shall be offered #Num. 28:12, 14with the young bull a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil; 10and you shall bring as the drink offering half a hin of wine as an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord.
11#Num. 28‘Thus it shall be done for each young bull, for each ram, or for each lamb or young goat. 12According to the number that you prepare, so you shall do with everyone according to their number. 13All who are native-born shall do these things in this manner, in presenting an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord. 14And if a stranger dwells with you, or whoever is among you throughout your generations, and would present an offering made by fire, a sweet aroma to the Lord, just as you do, so shall he do. 15#Ex. 12:49; Num. 9:14; 15:29One ordinance shall be for you of the assembly and for the stranger who dwells with you, an ordinance forever throughout your generations; as you are, so shall the stranger be before the Lord. 16One law and one custom shall be for you and for the stranger who dwells with you.’ ”
17Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 18#Num. 15:2; Deut. 26:1“Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you come into the land to which I bring you, 19then it will be, when you eat of #Josh. 5:11, 12the bread of the land, that you shall offer up a heave offering to the Lord. 20#Ex. 34:26; Lev. 23:10, 14, 17; Deut. 26:2, 10; Prov. 3:9, 10You shall offer up a cake of the first of your ground meal as #Lev. 2:14; 23:10, 16a heave offering; as a heave offering of the threshing floor, so shall you offer it up. 21Of the first of your ground meal you shall give to the Lord a heave offering throughout your generations.
Laws Concerning Unintentional Sin
22#Lev. 4:2‘If you sin unintentionally, and do not observe all these commandments which the Lord has spoken to Moses— 23all that the Lord has commanded you by the hand of Moses, from the day the Lord gave commandment and onward throughout your generations— 24then it will be, #Lev. 4:13if it is unintentionally committed, without the knowledge of the congregation, that the whole congregation shall offer one young bull as a burnt offering, as a sweet aroma to the Lord, #Num. 15:8–10with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the ordinance, and #Lev. 4:23one kid of the goats as a sin offering. 25#Lev. 4:20; (Heb. 2:17)So the priest shall make atonement for the whole congregation of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them, for it was unintentional; they shall bring their offering, an offering made by fire to the Lord, and their sin offering before the Lord, for their unintended sin. 26It shall be forgiven the whole congregation of the children of Israel and the stranger who dwells among them, because all the people did it unintentionally.
27‘And #Lev. 4:27–31if a person sins unintentionally, then he shall bring a female goat in its first year as a sin offering. 28#Lev. 4:35So the priest shall make atonement for the person who sins unintentionally, when he sins unintentionally before the Lord, to make atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him. 29#Num. 15:15You shall have one law for him who sins unintentionally, for him who is native-born among the children of Israel and for the stranger who dwells among them.
Law Concerning Presumptuous Sin
30#Num. 14:40–44; Deut. 1:43; 17:12; Ps. 19:13; Heb. 10:26‘But the person who does anything presumptuously, whether he is native-born or a stranger, that one brings reproach on the Lord, and he shall be cut off from among his people. 31Because he has #2 Sam. 12:9; Prov. 13:13despised the word of the Lord, and has broken His commandment, that person shall be completely cut off; his guilt shall be upon him.’ ”
Penalty for Violating the Sabbath
32Now while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, #Ex. 31:14, 15; 35:2, 3they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day. 33And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation. 34They put him #Lev. 24:12under guard, because it had not been explained what should be done to him.
35Then the Lord said to Moses, #Ex. 31:14, 15“The man must surely be put to death; all the congregation shall #Lev. 24:14; Deut. 21:21; 1 Kin. 21:13; Acts 7:58stone him with stones outside the camp.” 36So, as the Lord commanded Moses, all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, and he died.
Tassels on Garments
37Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 38“Speak to the children of Israel: Tell #Deut. 22:12; Matt. 23:5them to make tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and to put a blue thread in the tassels of the corners. 39And you shall have the tassel, that you may look upon it and #Ps. 103:18remember all the commandments of the Lord and do them, and that you #Deut. 29:19may not #Ps. 73:27; 106:39; James 4:4follow the harlotry to which your own heart and your own eyes are inclined, 40and that you may remember and do all My commandments, and be #(Lev. 11:44, 45; Rom. 12:1; Col. 1:22; 1 Pet. 1:15, 16)holy for your God. 41I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am the Lord your God.”

Numbers 15
15
1And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, 2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of your dwellings, which I give unto you, 3and will make an offering by fire to Jehovah, a burnt-offering or a sacrifice for the performance of a vow, or as a voluntary offering, or in your set feasts, to make a sweet odour to Jehovah, of the herd or of the flock, 4then shall he that presenteth his offering to Jehovah bring as oblation a tenth part of fine flour mingled with a fourth part of a hin of oil; 5and of wine for a drink-offering shalt thou offer the fourth part of a hin with the burnt-offering, or with the sacrifice, for one lamb. 6And for a ram thou shalt offer as oblation two tenth parts of fine flour mingled with oil, a third part of a hin, 7and of wine for a drink-offering shalt thou offer the third part of a hin; for a sweet odour to Jehovah. 8And when thou offerest a bullock for a burnt-offering, or a sacrifice for the performance of a vow, or for a peace-offering to Jehovah, 9then shall they present with the bullock as oblation three tenth parts of fine flour mingled with half a hin of oil; 10and of wine shalt thou present half a hin, for a drink-offering, as an offering by fire, of a sweet odour to Jehovah. 11Thus shall it be done for one ox, or for one ram, or for a lamb, or for a kid; 12according to the number that ye offer, so shall ye do to every one according to their number. 13And all that are born in the land shall do these things thus, in presenting an offering by fire of a sweet odour to Jehovah. 14And if a stranger sojourn with you, or whoever be among you throughout your generations, and will offer an offering by fire of a sweet odour to Jehovah, — as ye do, so shall he do. 15As to the congregation, there shall be one statute for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an everlasting statute throughout your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be, before Jehovah. 16One law and one ordinance shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you. 17And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, 18Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land whither I bring you, 19then it shall be, when ye eat of the bread of the land, that ye shall offer a heave-offering to Jehovah; 20the first of your dough shall ye offer, a cake, for a heave-offering; as the heave-offering of the threshing-floor, so shall ye offer this. 21Of the first of your dough ye shall give to Jehovah a heave-offering throughout your generations.
22And if ye sin inadvertently, and do not all these commandments, which Jehovah hath spoken unto Moses, 23all that Jehovah hath commanded you through Moses, from the day that Jehovah gave commandment, and henceforward throughout your generations; 24then it shall be, if ought be committed by inadvertence hid from the eyes of the assembly, that the whole assembly shall offer one young bullock for a burnt-offering, for a sweet odour to Jehovah, and its oblation and its drink-offering according to the ordinance, and one buck of the goats for a sin-offering. 25And the priest shall make atonement for the whole assembly of the children of Israel, and it shall be forgiven them; for it was a sin of inadvertence, and they have brought before Jehovah their offering, as an offering by fire to Jehovah, and their sin-offering for their sin of inadvertence; 26and it shall be forgiven the whole assembly of the children of Israel, and the stranger that sojourneth among them; for with all the people there was a sin of inadvertence. 27And if one soul sin through inadvertence, then he shall present a yearling she-goat for a sin-offering. 28And the priest shall make atonement for the soul that hath done inadvertently, when he sinneth by inadvertence before Jehovah, to make atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him. 29For him that is born in the land among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them — there shall be one law for you, for him who doeth anything through inadvertence.
30But the soul that doeth ought with a high hand, whether born in the land, or a stranger, he reproacheth Jehovah; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 31For he hath despised the word of Jehovah, and hath broken his commandment: that soul shall surely be cut off; his iniquity is upon him. 32And while the children of Israel were in the wilderness they found a man gathering sticks on the sabbath day. 33And they that found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to the whole assembly. 34And they put him in custody, for it was not declared what should be done to him. 35And Jehovah said to Moses, The man shall certainly be put to death: the whole assembly shall stone him with stones outside the camp. 36And the whole assembly led him outside the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died, as Jehovah had commanded Moses.
37And Jehovah spoke to Moses, saying, 38Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them tassels on the corners of their garments, throughout their generations, and that they attach to the tassel of the corners a lace of blue; 39and it shall be unto you for a tassel, that ye may look upon it, and remember all the commandments of Jehovah, and do them; and that ye seek not after the lusts of your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye go a whoring; 40that ye may remember and do all my commandments, and be holy unto your God#GodHebrew: Elohim 41I am Jehovah your God#GodHebrew: Elohim who brought you out of the land of Egypt to be your God#GodHebrew: Elohim I am Jehovah your God#GodHebrew: Elohim.
