Psalm 101
101
Psalm 101
A psalm of David.
1I will sing about your love and fairness.
Lord, I will sing praise to you.
2I will be careful to lead a life
that is without blame.
When will you come and help me?
In my own home I will lead a life
that is without blame.
3I won’t look at anything that is evil and call it good.
I hate the acts of people who aren’t faithful to you.
I won’t have anything to do with those things.
4I will stay away from those whose hearts are twisted.
I won’t have anything to do with what is evil.
5I will get rid of anyone
who tells lies about their neighbor in secret.
I won’t put up with anyone
whose eyes and heart are proud.
6I will look with favor on the faithful people in the land.
They will live with me.
Those whose lives are without blame will serve me.
7No one who lies and cheats
will live in my house.
No one who tells lies
will serve me.
8Every morning I will get rid of
all the sinful people in the land.
I will remove from the city of the Lord
everyone who does what is evil.

Tehillim 101
101
(Of Dovid. Mizmor)
1I will sing of chesed and mishpat; unto Thee, Hashem, will I sing.
2I will study the derech tamim. O when wilt Thou come unto me? I will walk within my bais with tam levav.
3I will set no devar beliyya'al before mine eyes; I hate the work of them that fall away; it shall not cleave to me.
4A lev ikkesh (perverse heart) shall be far from me; I will not tolerate rah.
5The one who slandereth ba'seter (in secret) his neighbor, him will I destroy; him that hath haughty einayim (eyes) and a proud levav will I not endure.
6Mine eyes shall be upon the ne'emenei eretz (faithful of the land), that they may dwell with me; he that walketh in a derech tamim, he shall minister to me.
7He that worketh remiyyah (deceit) shall not dwell within my bais; he that speaketh shekarim (falsehoods, lies) shall not continue in my presence.
8In the bokerim I will destroy all rishei eretz (wicked ones of the land); that I may cut off all doers of evil from the Ir Hashem.
