Bezalel and Oholiab
1Then the Lord spoke to Moses. 2He said, “I have chosen Bezalel, the son of Uri. Uri is the son of Hur. Bezalel is from the tribe of Judah. 3I have filled him with the Spirit of God. I have filled Bezalel with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skill. 4He can make beautiful patterns in gold, silver and bronze. 5He can cut and set stones. He can work with wood. In fact, he can work in all kinds of crafts. 6I have also appointed Oholiab, the son of Ahisamak, to help him. Oholiab is from the tribe of Dan.
“I have given ability to all the skilled workers. They can make everything I have commanded you to make. Here is the complete list.
7“the tent of meeting
the ark where the tablets of the covenant law are kept
the cover for the ark
8the table for the holy bread and its things
the pure gold lampstand and everything used with it
the altar for burning incense
9the altar for burnt offerings and all its tools
the large bowl with its stand
10the sacred clothes for Aaron the priest and the clothes for his sons when they serve as priests
11the anointing oil
and the sweet-smelling incense for the Holy Room
“The skilled workers must make them just as I commanded you.”
The Sabbath Day
12Then the Lord spoke to Moses. 13He said, “Tell the people of Israel, ‘You must always keep my Sabbath days. That will be the sign of the covenant I have made between me and you for all time to come. Then you will know that I am the Lord. I am the one who makes you holy.
14“ ‘Keep the Sabbath day. It is holy to you. Those who misuse it must be put to death. Those who do any work on that day must be separated from their people. 15Do your work in six days. But the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest. You must rest on it. It is set apart for the Lord. Those who work on the Sabbath day must be put to death. 16The Israelites must keep the Sabbath day. They must celebrate it for all time to come. It will be a covenant that lasts forever. 17It will be the sign of the covenant I have made between me and the Israelites forever. The Lord made the heavens and the earth in six days. But on the seventh day he did not work. He rested.’ ”
18The Lord finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai. Then he gave him the two tablets of the covenant law. They were made out of stone. The words on them were written by the finger of God.

Ex 35:30–35
1Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 2#Ex 36:1; 35:30See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 3#1Ki 7:14; Ex 35:31I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of craftsmanship 4to devise artistic works for work with gold, with silver, and with bronze, 5and in the cutting of stones for settings, and in carving of wood, to work in all manner of craftsmanship. 6#Ex 28:3; 35:10I, indeed, I have given him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamak, of the tribe of Dan, and I have given skill to all who are specially skilled, that they may make everything that I have commanded you: 7#Ex 36:8–37:9the tent of meeting, the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is on it, and all the furniture of the tent, 8#Ex 37:10–28the table and its utensils, and the pure lampstand with all its utensils, and the altar of incense, 9#Ex 38:1–8the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the basin and its stand, 10the woven garments, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, to minister as priests, 11#Ex 37:29the anointing oil and sweet incense for the holy place. The Sabbath Law
12The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 13#Eze 20:12; 20:20Speak also to the children of Israel, saying, “You must surely keep My Sabbaths, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you.
14“You shall keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who defiles it will surely be put to death. For whoever does any work on it, that person will be cut off from among his people. 15#Ex 16:23; Lev 23:3Six days may work be done, but on the seventh is the Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day will surely be put to death. 16Therefore the children of Israel must keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. 17#Ge 1:31; Ex 31:13; Ge 2:2–3It is a sign between Me and the children of Israel forever, for in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.”
18#Ex 24:12; 32:15–16When He had made an end of communing with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Moses the two tablets of testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.
