Offerings for the Holy Tent
1The Lord said to Moses, 2“Tell the people of Israel to bring me an offering. You must receive the offering for me from everyone whose hearts move them to give.
3“Here are the offerings you must receive from them.
“gold, silver and bronze
4blue, purple and bright red yarn and fine linen
goat hair
5ram skins that are dyed red
another kind of strong leather
acacia wood
6olive oil for the lights
spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet-smelling incense
7onyx stones and other jewels for the linen apron and chest cloth
8“Have them make a sacred tent for me. I will live among them. 9Make the holy tent and everything that belongs to it. Make them exactly like the pattern I will show you.
The Ark of the Covenant Law
10“Have them make an ark out of acacia wood. It must be a chest three feet nine inches long and two feet three inches wide and high. 11Cover it inside and outside with pure gold. Put a strip of gold around it. 12Make four gold rings for it. Join them to its four bottom corners. Put two rings on one side and two rings on the other. 13Then make poles out of acacia wood. Cover them with gold. 14Put the poles through the rings on the sides of the ark to carry it. 15The poles must remain in the rings of the ark. Do not remove them. 16I will give you the tablets of the covenant law. When I do, put them into the ark.
17“Make its cover out of pure gold. The cover is the place where sin will be paid for. Make it three feet nine inches long and two feet three inches wide. 18Make two cherubim out of hammered gold at the ends of the cover. 19Put one of the cherubim on each end of it. Make the cherubim part of the cover itself. 20They must have their wings spread up over the cover. The cherubim must face each other and look toward the cover. 21Place the cover on top of the ark. I will give you the tablets of the covenant law. Put them in the ark. 22The ark is where the tablets of the covenant law are kept. I will meet with you above the cover between the two cherubim that are over the ark. There I will give you all my commands for the Israelites.
The Table for the Holy Bread
23“Make a table out of acacia wood. Make it three feet long, one foot six inches wide and two feet three inches high. 24Cover it with pure gold. Put a strip of gold around it. 25Also make a rim around it three inches wide. Put a strip of gold around the rim. 26Make four gold rings for the table. Join them to the four corners, where the four legs are. 27The rings must be close to the rim. They must hold the poles that will be used to carry the table. 28Make the poles out of acacia wood. Cover them with gold. Use them to carry the table. 29Make its plates and dishes out of pure gold. Also make its pitchers and bowls out of pure gold. Use the pitchers and bowls to pour out drink offerings. 30Put the holy bread on the table. It must be near my holy throne on the ark of the covenant law at all times.
The Gold Lampstand
31“Make a lampstand out of pure gold. Hammer out its base and stem. Its buds, blossoms and cups must branch out from it. They must be part of the lampstand itself. 32Six branches must come out from the sides of the lampstand. Make three on one side and three on the other. 33On one branch make three cups that are shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms. Then put three on the next branch. Do the same with all six branches that come out from the lampstand. 34On the lampstand there must be four cups that are shaped like almond flowers with buds and blossoms. 35One bud must be under the first pair of branches that come out from the lampstand. Put a second bud under the second pair. And put a third bud under the third pair. Make a total of six branches. 36The buds and branches must come out from the lampstand. The whole lampstand must be one piece hammered out of pure gold.
37“Then make its seven lamps. Set them up on it so that they light the space in front of it. 38The trays and wick cutters must be made out of pure gold. 39Use 75 pounds of pure gold to make the lampstand and everything used with it. 40Be sure to make everything just like the pattern I showed you on the mountain.

Exodus 25
25
1And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:
2Speak to the children of Israel, that they bring first-fruits to me: of every man that offereth of his own accord, you shall take them.
3And these are the things you must take: gold, and silver, and brass,
4Violet and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine linen, and goats' hair,
5And rams' skins dyed red, and violet skins, and setim wood:
6Oil to make lights: spices for ointment, and for sweet-smelling incense:
7Onyx stones, and precious stones to adorn the ephod and the rational.
8And they shall make me a sanctuary: and I will dwell in the midst of them.
9According to all the likeness of the tabernacle which I will shew thee, and of all the vessels for the service thereof: and thus you shall make it:
10Frame an ark of setim wood, the length whereof shall be of two cubits and a half: the breadth, a cubit and a half: the height, likewise, a cubit and a half.
11And thou shalt overlay it with the purest gold within and without: and over it thou shalt make a golden crown round about.
12And four golden rings, which thou shall put at the four corners of the ark: let two rings be on the one side, and two on the other.
13Thou shalt make bars also of setim wood, and shalt overlay them with gold.
14And thou shalt put them in through the rings that are in the sides of the ark, that it may be carried on them.
15And they shall be always in the rings: neither shall they at any time be drawn out of them.
16And thou shalt put in the ark the testimony which I will give thee.
17Thou shalt make also a propitiatory of the purest gold: the length thereof shall be two cubits and a half, and the breadth a cubit and a half.
18Thou shalt make also two cherubims of beaten gold, on the two sides of the oracle.
19Let one cherub be on the one side, and the other on the other.
20Let them cover both sides of the propitiatory, spreading their wings, and covering the oracle: and let them look one towards the other, their faces being turned towards the propitiatory wherewith the ark is to be covered.
21In which thou shalt put the testimony that I will give thee.
22Thence will I give orders, and will speak to thee over the propitiatory, and from the midst of the two cherubims, which shall be upon the ark of the testimony, all things which I will command the children of Israel by thee.
23Thou shalt make a table also of setim wood, of two cubits in length, and a cubit in breadth, and a cubit and half in height.
24And thou shalt overlay it with the purest gold: and thou shalt make to it a golden ledge round about.
25And to the ledge itself a polished crown, four inches high: and over the same another little golden crown.
26Thou shalt prepare also four golden rings, and shalt put them in the four corners of the same table over each foot.
27Under the crown shall the golden rings be: that the bars may be put through them, and the table may be carried.
28The bars also themselves thou shalt make of setim wood, and shalt overlay them with gold to bear up the table.
29Thou shalt prepare also dishes and bowls, censers, and cups, wherein the libations are to be offered: of the purest gold.
30And thou shalt set upon the table loaves of proposition, in my sight always.
31Thou shalt make also a candlestick of beaten work of the finest gold: the shaft thereof, and the branches, the cups, and the bowls and the lilies going forth from it.
32Six branches shall come out of the sides: three out of the one side, and three out of the other.
33Three cups as it were nuts to every branch, and a bowl withal, and a lily; and three cups, likewise of the fashion of nuts in the other branch, and a bowl withal, and a lily. Such shall be the work of the six branches, that are to come out from the shaft.
34And in the candlestick itself shall be four cups in the manner of a nut: and at every one, bowls and lilies.
35Bowls under two branches in three places, which together make six coming forth out of one shaft.
36And both the bowls and the branches shall be of the same beaten work of the purest gold.
37Thou shalt make also seven lamps: and shalt set them upon the candlestick, to give light over against.
38The snuffers also and where the snuffings shall be put out, shall be made of the purest gold.
39The whole weight of the candlestick with all the furniture thereof shall be a talent of the purest gold.
40Look and make it according to the pattern, that was shewn thee in the mount.
