Psalms 26

Psalm 26
A Psalm of David.
1¶ Judge me, O Lord, for I have walked in my integrity; I have trusted also in the Lord; therefore I shall not slide.
2Examine me, O Lord and prove me; melt my kidneys and my heart.
3For thy mercy is before my eyes, and I walk in thy truth.
4I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with hypocrites.
5I have hated the congregation of evil doers and will not sit with the wicked.
6¶ I will wash my hands in innocency, so I will walk near unto thine altar, O Lord:
7That I may publish with the voice of thanksgiving and tell of all thy wondrous works.
8Lord, I have loved the habitation of thy house and the place of the tabernacle of thy glory.
9Gather not my soul with the sinners, nor my life with those who have blood on their hands:
10In whose hands are wicked devices, and their right hand is full of bribes.
11But as for me, I will walk in my integrity; ransom me and be merciful unto me.
12I have walked uprightly; in the congregations I will bless the Lord.

Psalm 26
By David.
1Judge me favorably, O Lord,
because I have walked with integrity
and I have trusted you without wavering.
2Examine me, O Lord, and test me.
Look closely into my heart and mind.
3I see your mercy in front of me.
I walk in the light of your truth.
4I did not sit with liars,
and I will not be found among hypocrites.
5I have hated the mob of evildoers
and will not sit with wicked people.
6I will wash my hands in innocence.
I will walk around your altar, O Lord,
7so that I may loudly sing a hymn of thanksgiving
and tell about all your miracles.
8O Lord, I love the house where you live,
the place where your glory dwells.
9Do not sweep away my soul along with hardened sinners
or my life along with bloodthirsty people.
10Evil schemes are in their hands.
Their right hands are full of bribes.
11But I walk with integrity.
Rescue me, and have pity on me.
12My feet stand on level ground.
I will praise the Lord with the choirs in worship.
