Psalms 24

Psalm 24
A Psalm of David.
1¶ The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein.
2For he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers.
3¶ Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in the place of his holiness?
4He that has clean hands and a pure heart, who has not taken my name in vain, nor sworn deceitfully.
5He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his saving health.
6This is the generation of those that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
7¶ Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and lift yourselves up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.
8Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle.
9Lift up your heads, O ye gates; lift yourselves up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.
10Who is this King of glory? The Lord of the hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

Psalm 24
A psalm by David.
1The earth and everything it contains are the Lord’s.
The world and all who live in it are his.
2He laid its foundation on the seas
and set it firmly on the rivers.
3Who may go up the Lord’s mountain?
Who may stand in his holy place?
4 ⌞The one who⌟ has clean hands and a pure heart
and does not long for what is false
or lie when he is under oath.
5 ⌞This person⌟ will receive a blessing from the Lord
and righteousness from God, his savior.
6This is the person who seeks him,
who searches for the face of the God of Jacob.#24:6 A few Hebrew manuscripts, Greek, Syriac; Masoretic Text “your face, Jacob.” Selah
7Lift your heads, you gates.
Be lifted, you ancient doors,
so that the king of glory may come in.
8Who is this king of glory?
The Lord, strong and mighty!
The Lord, heroic in battle!
9Lift your heads, you gates.
Be lifted, you ancient doors,
so that the king of glory may come in.
10Who, then, is this king of glory?
The Lord of Armies is the king of glory! Selah
