Galatians 5
1¶ Stand fast therefore in the liberty with which Christ has made us free and do not be entangled again with the yoke of slavery.
2Behold, I, Paul, say unto you that if ye become circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing.
3For I testify again to every man that becomes circumcised that he is a debtor to do the whole law.
4Ye are empty of the Christ, whosoever of you that justify yourselves by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
5For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.
6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision avails anything nor uncircumcision, but faith which works by charity.
7Ye did run well; who hindered you that ye should not trust in the truth?
8This persuasion does not come of him that called you.
9A little leaven leavens the whole lump.
10I have confidence in you through the Lord that ye will not be otherwise minded, but he that troubles you shall bear his judgment, whoever he is.
11And I, brethren, if I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? Then is the offence of the cross {Gr. stauros – stake} ceased.
12I even desire that those who trouble you would cut themselves off.
13¶ For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only do not use liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by charity serve one another.
14For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye are not consumed one of another.
16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
17For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary the one to the other, so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.
18But if ye are led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these: Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like; which I denounce, as I have also told you in time past that those who do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
22But the fruit of the Spirit is this: Charity, joy, peace, tolerance, gentleness, goodness, faith,
23meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
24For those that are of the Christ have crucified the flesh with its affections and lusts.
25If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
26Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

Galatians 5
5
1Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don’t be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.
2Behold, I, Paul, tell you that if you receive circumcision, Christ will profit you nothing. 3Yes, I testify again to every man who receives circumcision that he is a debtor to do the whole law. 4You are alienated from Christ, you who desire to be justified by the law. You have fallen away from grace. 5For we through the Spirit, by faith wait for the hope of righteousness. 6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision amounts to anything, but faith working through love.
7You were running well! Who interfered with you that you should not obey the truth? 8This persuasion is not from him who calls you. 9A little yeast grows through the whole lump. 10I have confidence toward you in the Lord that you will think no other way. But he who troubles you will bear his judgment, whoever he is.
11But I, brothers, if I still preach circumcision, why am I still persecuted? Then the stumbling block of the cross has been removed. 12I wish that those who disturb you would cut themselves off.
13For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love be servants to one another. 14For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”#Leviticus 19:18 15But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don’t consume one another.
16But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 19Now the deeds of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, 20idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, 21envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s Kingdom.
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,#5:22 or, faithfulness 23gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
25If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit. 26Let’s not become conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another.
