His followers had only one loaf of bread with them in the boat; they had forgotten to bring more. Jesus warned them, “Be careful! Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod.” His followers discussed the meaning of this, saying, “He said this because we have no bread.” Knowing what they were talking about, Jesus asked them, “Why are you talking about not having bread? Do you still not see or understand? Are your minds closed? You have eyes, but you don’t really see. You have ears, but you don’t really listen. Remember when I divided five loaves of bread for the five thousand? How many baskets did you fill with leftover pieces of food?” They answered, “Twelve.” “And when I divided seven loaves of bread for the four thousand, how many baskets did you fill with leftover pieces of food?” They answered, “Seven.” Then Jesus said to them, “Don’t you understand yet?” Jesus and his followers came to Bethsaida. There some people brought a blind man to Jesus and begged him to touch the man. So Jesus took the blind man’s hand and led him out of the village. Then he spit on the man’s eyes and put his hands on the man and asked, “Can you see now?” The man looked up and said, “Yes, I see people, but they look like trees walking around.” Again Jesus put his hands on the man’s eyes. Then the man opened his eyes wide and they were healed, and he was able to see everything clearly. Jesus told him to go home, saying, “Don’t go into the town.”

When we think of productivity, we may look to entrepreneurs, CEOs, and productivity authors. How often, however, does Jesus come to mind? He traveled vast areas, reached an immeasurable number of people, and even today is one of the most revered persons ever to have lived. He is also our friend and Savior. Learning to be more productive may begin then, as in all things, with following him.
6 Days
In this six-day plan by Bible study author Andy Klenke, you will be introduced to the Jesus of the Gospels and be invited to follow Him. Beyond a great teacher or miracle worker, Jesus shows himself to be God and worthy of worship. While simply understanding these truths is certainly helpful, each day will help you learn more about Jesus and prompt you to think about how these truths can transform your life.
7 Days
How do you feel when you see someone who struggles with sin? Do you feel grateful that you are not in their situation? The notorious Pharisee of Luke 18 felt the same way. In this Plan, we will learn to examine ourselves for signs of pride disguised as godly traits or actions. Join me as we learn how to be truly humble in Christ!
