Biola University's Center for Christianity, Culture & the Arts is pleased to share the annual Advent Project, a daily devotional series celebrating the beauty and meaning of the Advent season through art, music, poetry, prayer, Scripture, and written devotions. In this series, we read and reflect on 14 names of Jesus – various titles he is given, and ways he his described. See from both Old Testament prophecy, and the Gospel accounts of his life, just who Jesus is through his names. Be encouraged as we approach the celebration of Jesus’ birth by reflecting on who he is – the marvellous complexity and depth of Jesus’ purpose and his character.

Jesus isn’t just a good teacher or a wise leader—he’s God in human form who came to change everything. In this 14-day plan, you’ll read through key moments in the Gospel of John that reveal who Jesus is and why it matters. As you walk through his life, death, and resurrection, you’ll see the kind of love and hope only he can offer—and what it means to fully follow him today.
