Beloved, you are acting faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the brethren, and especially when they are strangers; and they have testified to your love before the church. John's final letter commends the church for their gracious hospitality towards other believers. John continues to warn against false teachers by encouraging the church to be steadfast in the truth and committed to good works.
In this third letter, the apostle John tells us that God's truth and love is at stake. We must protect them for both the church and the individual. If we don't, we will lose the church and individual people.
