Revelation is not just a blueprint for the future. It spoke to the church in John's day, and it speaks to us in our day. Revelation has a message and meaning for us every day. This is a 5-day study exploring the throne room in heaven when John received a series of visions for the church to treasure.
In this five-day series of readings from across the breadth of Scripture, we will see how “the nations” have always been the object of God’s love and how he consistently calls his people to join him in his mission to rescue and redeem men and women from every tribe and tongue and people and nation. We will also explore the implications of this for people who desire to live missional lives, aligned with God’s purposes.
For many Christians, Revelation is one of the misunderstood and avoided books of Scripture often associated with fear, confusion, and judgment. Yet it begins with a promise of blessing (Revelation 1:3). Revelation was never meant to frighten us; it was meant to reveal Jesus. At its core, it is not about the terror of the end, but the triumph of the Lamb who was slain and now reigns. This 5-Day Devotional invites you to approach Revelation through love—scripture, reflection, prayer, and action. May you see Revelation anew: not as dread, but as a love letter from God.
This five-day reading plan is based on Revelation chapter 5 and the revelation of Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God, worthy of all honor. Through these readings, we will journey from the tears of humanity without Christ, through the redemption obtained by His blood, to a life surrendered in eternal worship. This devotional invites us to examine our hearts, recognize who is truly worthy, and live to glorify Christ with our entire lives.
