Deuteronomy 32:1

Are you finding your life journey to be difficult? Are you feeling as though you are in a dark tunnel and there seems to be no way out? Are you feeling as though you are losing hope and are close to giving up? If you are in a difficult season right now, especially if you are battling cancer, this 40-day reading plan will help you to walk victoriously with God.

In Deuteronomy 29-32, Moses revisited the covenant with the Israelites at Moab, just before they enter the Promised Land. In these three chapters, he addressed the subtle danger of spiritual drift, urging God's people to identify "hidden roots" of pride and modern idolatry that often flourish during seasons of prosperity. Through the lens of Moses' final song and the transition of leadership to Joshua, this devotion highlights a sovereign God who is both "Great and Good"—one who remains a constant anchor through life's transitions and is uniquely moved by our deepest weaknesses.

Some people joke that they’d rather be in hell drinking with their buddies than in heaven with stuffy saints. But these people are completely blind to its reality and meaning. Hell is real, and we’d better take it seriously. The Bible does not describe hell to scare us, but to warn us. And that is also the purpose of this reading plan!
