not abandoning our meeting together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging each other, and by so much more as you see the day drawing near.

And let us think about how to stir one another up to love and good works

For you have need of endurance, in order that after you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.

let us approach with a true heart in the full assurance of faith, our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.

Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has great reward.

For if we keep on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and a fury of fire that is about to consume the adversaries.
